Sharing pics of my yoga practise as I am preparing myself for radiation therapy post surgery! Cancer treatment is long and might feel overwhelming et times but stay strong. Use every day as new day full of light and opportunity to make you feel and stay stronger! I came long way from struggling to lift my hand slightly to opening up as before. Every day in last 7 weeks was full of learnings of my own self as I tried yoga stretches trying to lift my hand with wall support to getting back to practise with awareness. Yoga knowledge helped me to work on my shoulder flexibility and now working to build strength! I know it’s still a long way but I will get there.
I will keep sharing ” My cancer journey with yoga and family”. if you are facing cancer, tell yourself that it’s just a pause in your life to make you stronger than before.

Consistency is key! I have been working on getting back my strength, flexibility post chemotherapy. Restarted from 8 SN, 20, 40 SN at one time. I am happy to share that I did 108 SN today. Yogic breathing helped me to keep going everyday!

When you feel the end of something in life, it is actually beginning of something new. Life always open up another door at its own capacity when it closes one door.
Yoga is not just about getting in a pose or stretch your body to the maximum, it’s about that inner connect to strengthen your mind to face any challenge in life.

If you are unable to practise yoga poses, practise breathing and meditation to heal yourself!

Practising 30 mins of kapalbhati followed by alternate nostril breathing and Ujjain pranayama was a beautiful experience.

Life is perfect mixture of sweet and sour experiences! There would be days when you are able to take only 10 steps instead of 10k steps,
Run only 5 km instead of 21 km,
Do 2 SN instead of 250 SN,
Lift only 2 pounds of weight instead of 25 pounds,
Practise only limited lower body stretches instead of full yogic practise,

It’s absolutely fine, get up and do what you can to prepare yourself for becoming stronger than before!

It was an amazing feeling to do 50 surya namaskaar/ sun salutions after 7 days. Posting one SN. Felt like an achievement when I was unable to do even 8 Surya namaskar’s in last one week. Be consistent to bring yourself on your mat for your yoga practise, take it slow and be consistent. I am sure you will be amazed at your strength and ability even in difficult times.

You will be amazed at your focus, will power and strength even when you think it’s difficult. It’s all about experiences! New experience makes you stronger everyday.

I tried headstand with and without ankle weight after 150 surya namaskar/ sun salutions(26 mins )today. It was much easier to do than I thought as breath was calm and mind was ready to take another challenge.
