Wednesday, March 13th: McGill 24 Fundraiser Last weekend we had the absolute pleasure of hosting the U SPORTS Championships in the Pointe-Claire Aquatics Center. It was a weekend to remember, and your McGill teams fought hard to the very end. The Martlets finished 4th overall, and the Redbirds pushed past UBC on the last day to claim 3rd plac...

Lastly, we have backstroke/freestyler Ella Milloy who will be graduating from McGill's Political Science program. Ella is a multi-talented queen known for running McGill swimming communications, and for her excellent baking and crocheting skills. While experiencing her fair share of injuries, Ella always kept a positive energy that radiated throughout the pool. Sincerely,
~ The 2021 Graduating Swimmers
Our next grad is sprint butterflyer Robyn Nakano! You can always find Robyn near water, whether it be when lifeguarding, when training, or when she's taking care of hundreds of pet guppies. Robyn will be graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Arts and Sciences, with major concentrations in Anthropology and Biology! Check out her video to see what she'll be studying this fall!đ
Only a few grads left! Today's video highlights fourth year sprint butterflyer/freestyler Adrian Goin. The team could always rely on Adrian's positive attitude and on-the-block dance moves to help us get through our tough training. On top of a packed student-athlete schedule, Adrian also found time to give back to the community as a volunteer in the ICU Bridge Program. Adrian will be graduating with a degree in civil engineeringđ
On the fourth day of our grad series, distance queen Gabriella Doueihy shares what it means to be finishing her career as a Martlet. From killer distance practices to her packed Cup Meet racing schedules, Gabby showed us daily what it meant to be mentally tough. Gabby will be graduating with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Physiology and minoring in Kinesiologyđ
âThinking about the past four years as a Martlet breaks my heart and makes it dance at the same time. Knowing that the end of my varsity career has arrived is scary. However, I am so thankful for the sport itself, the experiences I had, the people I met and the lessons I learned.
Thank you McGill, for making me fall in love with swimming a bit more every day.â
Todayâs grad post is highlighting breaststroker/IMer Adrian Haasler. Adrian is known for his excellent taste in memes and his ability to make his teammates smile. He is currently wrapping up his 4th year at McGill and will be graduating from the Anatomy and Cell Biology program đ
âLooking through old photos reminded me of all of the good memories I have made and will cherish for the rest of my life. I am thankful for the little and big experiences alike, from loonie line to playing charades at the cottage to winning RSEQs as a team, and for having incredible coaches and teammates these past few years. I feel very proud to have been a part of McGill Swimming!â
This week, we will be highlighting our graduating swimmers through a series of photos and videos.
Today, we are starting with third year sprinter, Rebecca Thompson. Rebecca is known for her kindness, her amazing outfits, and the positive attitude she brings to every practice. With another year of school left, she hopes to explore some of her academic and research interests. Check out what she had to say about her time on the team in the first video of this series!đ
