Percival High School - Class of '69

1969 grads and classmates that moved away from the area before graduation?

There are some great pages for Grads of Percival but this page is specifically for 1969 grads

At the Prescott hotel on Preston in Ottawa.

Hello fellow Vald’Orians-another gathering is going to be happening on December 14th!!

Romy and I wish to confirm that we will be having a lunch on Saturday December 14 at noon at the Prescott Hotel. Please tell all of your VD friends. If you cannot make it then, the next proposed get together will be Saturday March 14.

Since we are quickly approaching the holiday season, I would ask you to let me know prior to Dec 1 so that Romy can make the appropriate reservations. You can confirm with me if you’re coming and I will let Romy know 😉

Hope to see you there. 😊

Hello to all Val d'Orians who live near and far!!

We are back and looking forward to the next gathering which will take place once again at the Prescott (aylmer) on Saturday September 14 at noon. Mark your calendars - as we hope to see as many of you there as possible!!

So, if you are planning to come, can you please let Romy know by September 1, if you and anyone else you know not on the email list are coming. Romy can be reached by email at: [email protected]. We need to ensure that we reserve enough space for all of us to sit together! So let us know as soon as you can.

As most of you already know about the passing of our dear friend, Ed Rzeszutek last week. Big Ed was a regular luncheon participant and we will have to raise a glass of beer in his memory. I have added this picture in remembrance of Eddy who was last at our gathering in February 2019. He will be missed but remembered for being the gentle soul that he was.

As well, we are planning for the next luncheon on December 14.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon!!

Spring 2019 is the 50th anniversary of the class of 69. I was hoping that the Percival and St Joe's classes and those that were in the same classes but may have moved before grad (like me, sorry) could organise a get together or perhaps Regional parties in the spring. It doesn't have to be elaborate. We could even flash mob restaurants and bars! Lol.

It would be fun to catch up with old friends.

Anyone interested?

Here’s a yearbook picture submitted by Marilyn Hong - Senior Library Committee also with Mrs. Smith and Agathe Fortin. Accompanied with the Percival blue and gold librarian badge. Remember typing and steno classes with Mrs. Smith? “The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog.”

6 more Likes this week! Welcome everyone. We are encouraging you to post stories and pictures of your time at Percival, especially if related to the class of 69, but certainly we welcome those that graduated just before or after 69! The late 60s were exciting and interesting times and fun to share our memories of them. Some of our class were only there for a few years and didn't graduate with our friends, like me. (Wish I could have stayed!) We encourage these people to feel a part of this group as much as those who made it through to the end!
