Reaching out to those in Need The HUG Outreach Initiative is a grassroots project.
We are dedicated to helping anyone who is struggling to meet thier basic needs. No matter what your financial or personal situation is you are welcome to whatever our donation area has available no questions asked. We also are focusing on ending Period Poverty and strive to obtain and handout period products to those women who are homeless or in need.
I am so sorry but due to the extreme cold we are closed today.....keep checking Sweet Treats Candy Company page for updates
Thanks !

Tickets can be purchased starting tomorrow at 11am, we can do cash or etransfer for the raffle. Draw will take place after the Regina Regina Pats Hockey Club vs Warrior game as we will be open late on December 16th so get your tickets ASAP!!

I know this might be hard for some of you to read but this is a reality for those women living on the street and for women in poverty.....women should not have to struggle to afford products that are a necessity each month for many years....its time to end period poverty
Mayor Tolley stopped by yesterday to talk about our homeless outreach. Thank you Mayor for stopping by and hope to continue our discussion soon
Hi Everyone just wanted to update everyone on our Outreach. I had some help today and we got 20 outreach bags ready to hand out to those in need, we hopefully found a place for the night for an individual so that he does not freeze tonight like he almost did last night, we have some jackets/hoodies that we want to connect with people who are in need and we are also in need of a few items. If you are not already please follow the Hug page HUG Outreach Initiative for more updates. Our list of items to help us continue to help those in need. We are in need of Medium and Large Freezer bags, Small packages of Feminine Wipes, Regular size Feminine pads, Womens socks, Hand Warmers, small pkgs toothpaste and deodorant, toothbrushes, Non -perishable food items like granola bars, Cracker and cheese packages-anything that can be added to a bag for a quick burst of nutrition. We will also talk canned tuna etc but it needs to be with lids that can easily be opened in case someone does not have access to a can opener. Thank you once again Moose Jaw for your help
Period poverty is a huge issue that has been ignored. 1/3 of Canadian women and girls have had to regularly or occasionally have to give up something else in their budget like food in order to afford period products.....how much longer is this going to be okay ?
I think I have a bit of work to do tomorrow but not complaining just in awe of all the donations....lots of period packs to make tomorrow!!
Hi Everyone, This will be the New page for the HUG Outreach Initiative. I will post what I am doing and how things are going on this page along with any wants or needs from the people I encounter through this journey. Thank you already to the community of Moose Jaw for all the donations that have been coming in. I have been busy creating Period Packages and Warming bags with all the Hats and Scarves that have been donated. Many HUGS to all of you!!
