Hello! For those of you who don’t know me, allow me to introduce myself!

My name is Amy, I was born and raised in southern Saskatchewan and moved to BC in December of 2021 to be with my partner (Kade) who has lived in Panorama since 2016.

By trade, I am a Primary Care Paramedic. Photography is a hobby I picked up in high school. I took photography in grade 10, 11 and 12. In that time, I also took photos for volunteer events outside of class. This included gymnastics and dance competitions, basketball, volleyball as well as some formal events like graduation and the RCMP gala. I did some photo restoration on the side and when I finally purchased my own camera, started taking portraits as well.

Ultimately, I ended up selling my camera to help with moving expenses last year. Since then, I had resorted to disappointingly stating “that would have been a cool photo” during car rides. Kade has heard me time and time again express regret in giving up my camera. Truthfully, I’m not a hobby person. Like…at all. I start and stop things on a regular basis. Knitting…crocheting…sewing…painting…you name it, I’ve probably tried it. But, photography is one hobby I have remained passionate about and have dedicated my energy and time into consistently. I’ve always known I am lucky to have Kadyn, and this fall he really took me by surprise. As an early birthday present, he gifted me a camera.

Kadyn, I’ve thanked you before but with every photo I take I am more and more grateful for this gift you’ve given me; the ability to pursue my passion.

To everyone else, I hope you follow my journey in discovering more about the world, and myself, through photography.
