Due to the impacts of COVID-19, the Western Lacrosse Association (WLA) and Major Series Lacrosse (MSL) have made the difficult and disappointing decision to cancel both their 2020 seasons and the Mann Cup national championship. Full story at WLALacrosse.com

Help us welcome the newest member of , Joe Nardella! This faceoff specialist currently plays in the NLL for the New England Black Wolves 🥍

The 26-year-old Worchester, Mass. native adds a valuable skill set to the team and frees up standout defender Mike Messenger to roam more, ’Bellies general manager Ray Porcellato said.

"(Nardella) is one of, if not the best, face-off guys in the game,” said Porcellato. “He’s the kind of piece that will help us get to another Mann Cup.”

Langley RCMP is asking for help finding a 63-year-old man who went missing on Jan. 10.

Neil Smith, a retired Vancouver fire fighter, was last seen on Jan. 10 at around 10 a.m. at his home in Murrayville, when he left in his gray Ford F150 pickup truck. Police say the truck has a canopy and some damage to the right rear bumper, as well as a firefighters decal on the lower left corner windshield.

The Samonbellies are very sad to hear about the passing of Sohen Gill, and pass on our condolences to the Gill family during this difficult time. He was a strong advocate for the game as a player, coach, and BCLA President. His impact will be forever felt in the lacrosse community.

There were big shoes to fill, but the Senior Salmonbellies are feeling confident in a leadership group that has added Paul Horn as President and Ray Porcellato as General Manager. John Richardson will continue in his role as Assistant General Manager.

After many years as both President and GM, Dan Richardson retired from those posts this fall in order to dedicate his time to the Vancouver Warriors.

John Richardson, who lead the recruitment process, said “We’re excited about the next chapter with the Salmonbellies. Paul brings a lot of passion and experience and will look to drive the organization forward. And Ray has been a staple in New Westminster’s lacrosse community for years, so we’re looking forward to working together in achieving the ultimate goal of returning the Mann Cup to the Royal City.”

We cannot thank our GM and President, Dan Richardson, enough for everything he has done for our club! He motivates, inspires, and drives us forward. Dan, you'll be missed. These are some BIG shoes to fill.
