Hi flower friends! 👋

With some new followers and it being much too long since I last posted, I figured I do a re-intro!

Some fun facts about me:

🌼 I got into this business in 2021 for numerous reason, but some being because I was looking to put my creative design out into the world, while also having freedom in choosing the weddings I wanted to do
🌼 Before I feel in love with flowers, I fell in love with landscape and landscape design, which led me to floral design (I worked in the landscaping industry for almost 15 years)
🌼 I have a little hobby farm which I love
🌼 I have a 9 month-old baby who I absolutely adore and love to bits
🌼 I don’t have a favourite flower, but rather many, many favourites (maybe all of them?)
🌼 I’m of the mentality that if I could do everything, I would. It’s a great asset but sometimes a fault
🌼 Weddings are the absolute best and bring so much magic into the world
🌼 I binge watch Love is Blind- it’s both a terrible and really good show. I love watching body language and using that to guess who will say yes or no 😂
🌼If I could not have a phone or social media, I would love that
🌼I’ve always been blessed with amazing clients and can’t wait for all the future couples to get married this coming season!

After getting to know my couples, I tend to hold a soft spot for them 🤍

I love getting to know their likes and dislikes, and in general, their unique personalities. I will always remember what made that couple so special, and it makes my heart happy to know that I helped make your wedding day special with flowers.

I hope you know that when you come to me, I truly DO care. I put a lot of my heart into my business. It’s your wedding after all, and I don’t believe you should settle!

I’m reminiscing! 🥹

Yesterday my babe turned 6 months already!! I was 8 months pregnant with her in these photos and I’m finding myself looking back on photos of her when she was little-er (I know it’s not a word 😄). Time is going sooo fast.

A note on the business side- I’m consider pairing up with a photographer to run maternity photo shoots. I personally had SO much fun with these (designing the florals and the photos) AND I love how beautifully they turned out. If you are interested in maternity or family photos with stunning flowers, send me a DM or comment “Maternity” so we can get in touch!

Setting the stage for your ceremony with your florals.

I believe florals at your ceremony to be essential on your wedding day! It really sets the mood for you and your guests, creating a beautifully coordinated backdrop for couples to walk down the aisle as their first time as a couple ✨

Not sure about what to do at your venue? Ask your florist! Chances are they have a few tips up their sleeve 🙋‍♀️

Weddings on Family property ✨

When Sydney first came to me speaking about her wedding “venue”, I loved it!

Having your wedding on either your own property, or family property makes it so so special. There’s is definitely a LOT of work that goes into this choice, but it’s so worth it in the end.

If you had the option, would you make this choice too? I know I would! 🤚

Isn’t she a stunning bride??

Things I’ve learned in my business so far 💐

Last year you could find Arc Farm Florals popping up at local markets selling custom bouquets and arrangements (with local and imported flowers). It was a really fun way to meet people and I am so thankful for what I learned from it. At the end of the season I quickly decided to stop doing this.

My reasons why:

Flower longevity 🌸
Last summer was crazy sunny, humid and hot, and if there’s anything that reduces cut flowers vase lifespan, it’s heat and sun. My focus has been on selling premium product, which means that I needed to feel confident that flowers would be long-lasting. I felt like I wasn’t following this standard knowing they would last longer for my customers if had they come freshly out of my walk-in cooler.

Wedding Focused 👰‍♀️
My goal has always been to immerse myself in designing weddings. I just love working with couples to create something unique to them. Working at these markets did not provide me with opportunities for weddings and took the focus of my business away from that.

🚫No day-to-day deliveries
I also started out my business like a “regular florist” and offered flowers for any occasion, delivered to their door. I also stopped offering this as part of my business because again, my focus is on weddings. I love them so much!!

Pruning away what works and doesn’t work is so unique to each business. It feels great to be focused on weddings and that works perfect for me!

❗️Bouquet holding tip!! ❗️

For all the bouquet holding brides out there! Tell your photographer, your girls, anyone you can that can constantly remind you about this during photos, in case you forget! (Trust me, you will forget 😂)

When holding your bouquet you really want to show it off! So, rather than hold it like a microphone (which tends to show more stems), hold it angled outwards away from you, with the canopy of the bouquet facing the photographer. It might look strange from your perspective, but your photos will be perfection 👩‍🍳 🤌(chefs kiss).

The photo I am showing is from a maternity photoshoot, just to show off how great the bouquet is showing! For wedding photos, you’ll want to hold your bouquet a bit higher, but definitely keep it below the bra line, so that you can still show off your face and dress 💕

Are you getting married soon? Comment 🔥 if you found this useful!

To include boutonnières and corsages or to leave them out?! 🤷‍♀️

I feel like the Groom 💯% needs a boutonnière, to have something special and coordinate with the bridal bouquet. Besides him though, it can be confusing! I get this question often and so here’s a quick little pros and cons list.

Pros
✨great for detail photos
✨is a good way to make those special people feel special and included
✨great way to create unison and tie a look/style together

Cons
✨cost can add up quickly depending on how many people you want to include

If you are looking to save on budget, I would say leave these out until you have the large statement pieces covered that will make a difference in your wedding day. Your guests won’t remember who got a boutonnière or didn’t, but they will remember the larger WOW pieces!!

How to choose who to include:
✨ Keep it fair! If you are choosing parents, sisters, brothers, grandparents, whichever grouping of people, be sure to choose ALL (both sides of the family).

Remember: your bridal party or groomsmen do not HAVE to have bouquets or boutonnières just because it’s what’s normally done. You do you! 💃🕺

Your bouquet should capture the essence of your unique love 💕

Each bridal bouquet is artfully composed to perfectly compliment the vision and style for your wedding.

I get lots of couples who are really unsure about which direction to go because they love so many flowers!! I totally get that! I was the exact same.

Unless you are booking your florist a month before your wedding, you actually have lots of time to figure out your flowers! Arc Farm Florals always aims to make things as stress free as possible, allowing you time to change things even after you’ve booked us as well as giving you direction along the way 🤩

Cute little flowers for cute little kids! 🥰

How do you feel about having kids at your wedding? Do you love it? Or do you want a kid-free wedding?

I personally understand both sides equally! It can be a tough choice. Whatever the choice, I still love seeing kids with flowers. Just so cute!! 😍

Flower crowns! 🌸

Do you love them? Or think it’s too much??

For weddings, the most common use of flower crowns is for flower girls. However, I would LOVE to get a bride that wants to wear one of these beauties on their wedding day 🥰 Why not dare to be different?

Just about 1 week until I get to be back at the stunning venue, designing a wedding!

I’ve worked with this particular couple since I last met them at this venue at their food tasting! I’m so happy and excited to see their wedding come to fruition 😍 Stay tuned for photos!

The great part about some floral installations, is the ability to move them around to create a different look or focal point.

While not all floral installations make sense to move, it’s worth chatting about with your florist to see how you can make the most of your flowers!

Sneak peak of yesterdays session at

Nothing beats in-season flowers and these soft, yet vibrant colours 😍

I didn’t have a solid vision vision with this creation. I just wanted to create something fresh, delicate, and a little bit wild/flowy-looking. Better (professional) photos to come, but so enjoyed how everything turned out!

💙Something Blue 💙

Are you incorporating something blue into your wedding??

There are endless ways to do this, some ways more bold, and some more subtle than others.

Did you add something blue to your wedding?? Did you go bold, or subtle?👇

Also, do you like blue thistle or hate it? (It’s one of my faves because it adds texture and colour without being a flower)

❓🙋‍♀️ Question❓

A question I LOVE and often get during my consults, is “Can you substitute flowers with different ones to reduce cost?”

When I create a proposal for you, it is custom to the look and needs of your wedding. With experience, I have learned rather quickly that not every flower is created the same. Not every rose variety opens beautifully, not every flower holds up to heat, and ultimately, not every flower is meant for your wedding.

What does this mean for you?

When you are having such an important event, like a wedding, I believe that you want your flowers to look as best as they can. There are certain flowers that I deem worthy for weddings, and some that I do not.

It is because of this reason that ultimately my answer to the above question is no. Using flowers of a lower quality means that I know the flowers will not show the way I would like them to. This would make me feel very uncomfortable with my work. If I were to use lower quality product, my confidence when I am creating will trickle over into the design for your wedding. Ultimately, this all means that your wedding won’t look as good as it should! Considering how many photos your flowers will be in, and how many eyes will be looking at flowers, I know quality needs to be there, and I won’t sacrifice quality.

Once I explain this to couples, most agree that they want their flowers to look great!

Would you agree??

Welcome to the New Year friends! (‼️Keep reading for some exciting news!‼️)

Our 2023 year has exciting things ahead with some awesome weddings that I’m super excited about!! BUT I have been taking limited clients for the 2023 season…can you guess why?? ➡️➡️➡️ (Swipe to see last photo).

Happy holiday season! A bit late, yes, but better late than never!

Arc Farm Florals had the pleasure of designing for a lovely couple this holiday season which had a very soft and elegant look. Not to mention the garden roses smelled beautiful!

Take a look at this palate for inspo for your wedding if you’re looking for a softer look 🥰

SUSTAINABILITY and the floral industry.

Is it important to you?

In the floral industry, it is common practice to use floral foam. Do you know what floral foam is??

It is a SINGLE use product made from plastic, often containing formaldehyde (yuck!) 🤢 That’s toxic stuff!! While new floral foam products have come out claiming biodegradability, microplastics are left behind and still find their way into our environment. This is harmful to us, and especially aquatic animals who breathe it into their lungs 🫁

Florists use floral foam all the time to put together floral arrangements. I have used it in the past, at jobs I’ve had at previous floral shops. I was warned that “that stuff isn’t good for you”, but wasn’t made aware of what exactly was in it. When I asked, they said they didn’t know. That makes me feel safe right? Of course, I didn’t look too much into it because I was working for someone else. There was no other option.

Now I have my own business, and looking into sustainable options is important to me. For one, if I have a better option out there, why not use it?? I have worked with several different options such as chicken wire, floral pins, and agrawool, and find that these function far superior to floral foam. They hold flowers in place better, help flowers last longer and it’s not toxic. Not to mention, I get to use them over again! It’s a win, win, win🏆

So why don’t ALL florists use sustainable options? I can’t speak for all florists, but if I had to guess it would be because floral foam is cheap. However, I run my business differently. I like to think that people care, and are willing to pay a little bit extra for a superior product.

What are your thoughts on this? Would you be willing to pay a bit extra for a product you knew wouldn’t create waste, was compostable, reusable, and lasted longer??

🙋‍♀️ I’ve got my hand up!! What about you?
