Qigong Jerry

Hello , my name is Jerry Laan. I started Qigong because one of my hips had some inflammation. My hip doesn't bother me anymore.

So what is Qigong? If a woman asks me I usually say it is Chinese Yoga. If a guy asks I usually say it is very , very slow Karate. You receive many of the same benefits as Yoga and some of the moves in Qigong are similar to Karate moves but done much slower to incorporate light stretching and breathing.
After the exercises are finished you should feel calm , your energy level will have been raised , and you will feel more comfortable in your body.
There are many more benefits , and each person will benefit in one way or another.

About Qigong

For myself , I call it "Relaxercise". This Qigong is simple movements with light stretches that increase blood circulation and "Qi" (A Chinese word for "energy") throughout your whole body including muscles and internal organs.
Qigong has been practiced more than 3000 years and there are many varieties of Qigong.
The Qigong I teach is from the Wu Yi Jie He Family System of Chinese Healing and Martial Arts. It was designed to promote health, healing and longevity. There are 24 different movements, usually repeating each movement 4 to 8 times. There are now certified instructor's in Canada, U.S. , and Europe.
You can be out of "shape" , overweight, underweight , have aches and/or pains , and still be able to do some Qigong. It will help you feel and be your best. When I do Qigong in the morning I feel good all day.
It is possib le to learn Qigong in a few months, once per week and then be able to do it by yourself if more convenient.
You should feel better after doing Qigong as opposed to tired and sore. It also can take as little as 20 minutes per day. I found I accomplished more in a day when I did Qigong than when I didn't. Happy trails.
