I need to order some orange shirts and look at where I can donate some proceeds.

My children are Bay of Quinte Mohawk
They struggle to process the discovery this week, of 215 children remains on former residential school grounds in Kamloops. May they Rest In Peace 🧡

Over 150,000 Indigenous children attended residential schools in Canada from the late 1800’s until the last one closed in the 1990’s and of those attending, it’s estimated that over 5,000 died while under residential school care.
