Big job yesterday installing a custom glass floor system in a residential home build.

The opening size was 125" x 88", installed in 3 separate steel framed units, weighing in at approx 700lbs each.

Great team work between Hummingbird Hill Homes and Continental Glass to pull this off.

New kitchen, new backdplash!

This large, full wall backsplash was completed with 6mm Starphire (low-iron) tempered glass.

The glass is back-painted matching to Benjamin Moore Silver Satin.

Glass backsplashes are easy to maintain and clean with no toled grout lines yo worry about.

Colours and pattern design for the painted glass are limitless.

Progress is being made on this beast of a primary ensuite glass enclosure. 11ft wide x 10ft high x 5ft deep.

Bronze tinted glass with sandblasted privacy on the toilet enclosure panels brings this bathroom to life. Topped of with sleek modern matte black hardware.

Summer days will be well spent on the lakeside patio area of this custom-built home.

All safety guards were installed with a surface mounted base shoe system. Glass panels are Starphire (low-iron) tempered/laminated glass with a minimal cap rail to secure it all.

Clear skies and lots of sun make for a great day to install exterior glass railings for this amazing custom-built home.

Hardware -
Surface mounted base shoe system. This aluminum shoe can be surface mounted, side mounted, or recessed mounted with corresponding finish cladding. The 5" high base shoe is the only hardware required, no posts or other glass supports required.

Glass -
Minimum 12mm thick glass is required for this system to ensure the glass can stabilize itself. This glass is tempered & laminated for extra security & safety. Low-iron (Starphire) glass was used along with SPG Sentry inter-layer lamination for the clearest and strongest set-up possible.

Bring on the elements. This glass railing system is here to stay.

These vanity & wall mirror frames were custom made to specified size, profile, with rounded corners, and powder coated matte black for the finish.

Fitted with high-quality clear mirror that was custom cut to size and hung on the wall using an MDF French cleaning mounting system.

These custom frames are available in almost any size, endless profile options, and either powder coated or plated finishes.

Floor to ceiling 10mm Starphire (low-iron) tempered glass was used to help minimize the look. Low-iron glass reduces the green hue in glass for a cleaner/clearer finish.

8ft tall door with fixed transom above.
Hydraulic self-close hinges with hold-open feature.

Glass has just been installed for this front entrance waterfall feature for a custom house build in Oakville.

Check back in once we have completed pictures of the pond water flowing under the glass to the waterfall area.

These door frames in the spa area of a local hotel required all glass doors, but with a soft close function.
Standard door closers (used on other wood doors in the hotel) were modified to work with tempered glass to achieve this requirement.
The end result is a clean, open, and modern look with proper functionality.

Vertical pattern glass is making a big comeback in the use of division partitions as used for this staircase.

10mm 1/2" Reeded low-iron tempered glass was used on each side of this staircase, encased in 2"×2" white oak wood frames.

The opaqueness of this type of glass allows division between room areas in this townhouse but also allows full light to filter through.

Sweat your worries away in this beautifully built home sauna. Complimented with a custom curved top glass door.

10mm GREY tinted tempered glass with Como 180 degree swing hinges.

We recently posted the completion of the exterior glass railings for this custom build home. Here is the installed fireplace glass panels to finish this beautiful outdoor living space.

10mm clear tempered glass panels, custom cut with notches to fit around the house finishes with a 1" perimeter matte black frame.

This primary ensuite bathroom screams "elegance"!

The dual matching shower & toilet glass enclosures were framed with brass based U-channel with a polish nickel plated finish to fully match the hinge and handle finish.

This is not an inexpensive upgrade, but the final results speak for themselves.

Along with Starphire (low-iron) glass for the shower enclosure, Starphire acid etch glass for the toilet enclosure and Starphire back painted glass for the center column to complete the look.

If you're going to work out in a fitness room of a condo, then this is the one. A newly renovated top floor, with 360 views of downtown Toronto, Toronto Habour, and the Toronto Islands.

This fitness room has custom mirror walls and columns to open up the space, allow more light and of course, highlight your workout progression.

All mirror walls were perimeter trimmed with 1x1 L-angle aluminum extrusion in a matte black finish with recessed mirrors to give a unique finish to this project.

The homeowners of this custom house build will soon be enjoying summer evenings in their outdoor sitting area.

Complemented by full wrap around glass railings with the use of matte black powder coated steel posts and 12mm clear tempered glass.

This recent commercial office renovation opted for glass and more glass.

Being in a basement with minimal natural lighting, the multiple glass office enclosures allow for more light flow and an open inviting feel to the space.

Big bathrooms require big pieces of glass.
This header supported open top glass shower enclosure, has an oversized 73"w x 90"h fixed panel in 10mm glass.
Finished off with a custom designed privacy band that was sandblasted into the glass.
Starphire (low-iron) glass was used to eliminate the standard green hue and allow the privacy band to show off in a clear white finish.

This open top header shower enclosure & custom angled top framed mirror, compliment each other and the unique vaulted ceilings of this beautiful home.
