hello!

it’s been awhile so i thought i’d reintroduce myself and give a little update :)

i’m kiera and i’m an apprentice hairstylist at in brentwood calgary! i moved to calgary in 2021 to attend hair school and it was the best decision i ever made. i’ve wanted to be in the industry for as long as i could remember and i’m so excited to start my journey at Karma.

today marks my first week completed at Karma and it was an amazing week. i’ve already learned so much from the stylists and everyone is super kind and encouraging.

working at Karma i’ve been able to learn about products that i’ve been wanting to try out like and colour lines like

i can’t wait to learn more and to see what my future in the industry holds with Karma and i’m extremely grateful for all the support!

this week i did a balayage using foils on my mannequin. i made up my own patterns and sections and i love how it turned out!

i wanted to practice and play around with my own technique after learning a few ways from my instructors. i wanted to keep the hair more natural when toning so the money would would really pop! i had a lot of fun playing around and seeing how confident i am in this service :)

Yesterday I had this amazing client that wanted a balayage. She never coloured her hair before which made it even more exciting to do.
She wanted a natural blonde so the change wasn’t so extreme and she could adjust more.

I’m so happy with how it turned out! Thank you for trusting me to colour your hair I hope you love it :)
