Experimented with i cord and created this beautiful decor for my son’s nursery 💛 his room is painted black so having these pops of colours make it so playful! Loving this combination of felt balls and i cord!

My name is Melanie but everyone calls me Mel, I’m a fiber artist (weird to call myself an artist 🤭) located in Ottawa, well close enough ☺️, I live 20 minutes from the nation’s capital!

If you’re new here, WELCOME! I’ve you’ve been here for a while thanks for sticking around.

I’m nearly at the end of my maternity leave, which means my baby will be 1 soon. How did the last year go by so fast, wasn’t it yesterday that he was a teeny tiny newborn? We are away camping this weekend and let’s just say it’s more of a challenge now that he’s older, I miss the time where we could just go about our outings and he would just sleep anywhere! Right now dad is at the beach with the older brothers while I’m in the camper waiting for baby to wake from his nap! Anyways, enough rambling about my baby, I’m here to let you in on what my plan is since I’m going back to work shortly.

I’m a full time paramedic, I work long hours and work both day and night shifts. I’m not exactly sure how much time I’ll have to dedicate to my fiber art but I’m hopeful I’ll still be able to do quite enough. Felting is therapeutic for me, it calms me and allows me to be creative which is something seem to crave.

I have many inspirations and am now working on a new project that I’m super excited to show you guys! I’m far from finished so you’ll have to wait a while but I’ll share the process very soon!

My head is full of creative ideas of that I want to pursue and try before 2023, I really wish there could be more then 24hrs in a day sometime 😜

Anyways. All this to say things might change a bit here and hopefully you’ll all stick around, I’m so grateful for all of you!
