For this fundraiser, they will swim a combined 100 km open water, doing laps in Meech Lake, about 16km/day each.

Water quality is typically poorer within 24 hours of a rainfall (meaning Sat. will likely be ok) but please note that we do not cancel the swim due to water quality issues alone. Therefore, every swimmer must make their own decision, based on personal health. Thanks!

BOTB TEAM CHALLENGE: There’s strength (and awards) in numbers!
Enter the Team Challenge and earn points for participation, performance and volunteering. The top three teams with the most points earn a plaque!
All you have to do is register and include your club or team name on your entry form.
- Your team will be awarded one point for each swimmer registered in the 1.5K or 3K.
- Additional points will be awarded to each team for Age Group placings in the 3K swim:
1st: 3 points
2nd: 2 points
3rd: 1 point
- Volunteers on your team also earn 1 point. Volunteers are critical to the success of our swim and we could not do this without them.
So get registered and get competitive! 💪 🏊♀️ 🏊♂️ 🏆
Did you know? ANYONE can participate in Bring on the Bay.
If you want to swim the 1.5k or 3k distance, but have never swum in open water and are apprehensive, consider swimming with a Swim Angel. Our angels are experienced and safety-trained open water swimmers with the skills required to help you navigate safely to the finish line.
Reluctant to swim in crowds? No worries. Swim with an angel and you will enter the water in the last wave, well behind the crowds.
Worried that you might get overwhelmed and have a panic attack? Relax. Your angel will talk you through it. This is the ninth year of the Cathy Brooks Swim Angel Program. We've helped many swimmers who never thought they could complete a swim like this get to the finish line.
For more information send us an e-mail at [email protected] or read more about it at https://bringonthebay.com/the-event/swim-angels/
Early-bird registration ends at midnight May 31st. Registration numbers are at an all time high! Register now for savings and before the race possibly sells out! See you all on Saturday, July 13th!

The Cathy Brooks Swim Angel program is here for you if you need it. It has been established to accommodate swimmers who would like to swim but, for reasons ranging from disabilities, to medical conditions, to even fear of swimming alone, would not otherwise be able to participate. Request an angel, and you will have a personal cheerleader with you for the duration of the race!
Registration fees are the same for both the 3 km and 1.5 km events. You may change your event after registration, subject to availability. Register early to avoid disappointment, as more participants are expected this year and limited space is available.

Last Minute - July 1 to July 10: $75
Day Before - July 12 at Race Pickup: $85

All proceeds go to Easter Seals Ontario, a registered charity dedicated to improving the lives of children and youth with physical disabilities. There will be plenty of incentives for you to fundraise this year with awesome prizes to win from our main sponsor, Bushtukah, and more! We ask that each swimmer set a goal of raising a minimum of $40; let’s see how many kids we can send to Easter Seals' accessible summer camps! There will be online fundraising pages available to participants. Please don’t hesitate to reach out for fundraising tips and guidance on how to set up your personal online fundraising page.

On September 26, Counselor, Theresa Kavanagh held a volunteer appreciation evening at the Ron Kolbus Centre where she celebrated volunteer
achievements.
Richard Pessah, Judy Piel, from Bushtukah, Tony Wright, and Park Davis accepted an award on behalf of all of the volunteers associated with the Bring on the Bay Charity Swim for Easter Seals. Tony & Richard were both absent, travelling. Theresa Kavanagh noted that almost 200 volunteers from the club & the community worked to provide a
safe, fun experience for almost 600 swimmers last year, her included!. In all, your volunteer contributions to the Swim & the Club have raised almost $750,000 since its inception in 2007 when 12 swimmers and one boat started the event. Best of all, it was fun to do!
Kudos to all who took part
