CANADA E-VISA ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE CITIZENS OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA.

The Prime Minister of Canada, Mr. Justin Trudeau has signed into law in a clause in his recent Executive Order “that interested citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in some special professions are eligible for 10 years Canada E-Visa under the strict recommendation by the Nigerian Embassy, Canada and the approval of the Canadian Immigration Authority through the office of the Attorney General of Canada, David Lametti, the 52nd and current Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada.

This diplomatic benefit has been said to be as a result of the meeting between the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Buhari and the Canadian Prime Minister, Trudeau on the 9th of February, 2020 before the pandemic as reported below https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/more-news/376458-buhari-trudeau-meet-discuss-nigeria-canada-relations.html.

The following are the various professions and specialists urgently needed in Canada:

1. Qualified and Licensed Health workers.
2. Marine Related Workers.
3. Well Experienced Civil Servants (minimum of 5 years experience).
4. Engineers.
5. Accountants.
6. Diplomats.
7. Experienced Lecturers (with proof of English Proficiency).
8. Experienced Airport Aviation Workers.
9. Urgent cases of medical tourist visas could be considered.
10. Certified and licensed business men and women.

The terms of the Executive Order only allows 6,000 citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria taking effects from the 21st day of September, 2020 till 21st Day of November, 2020.

Mr. Justin Trudeau made this known to the Nigerian High Commissioner, H.E. Adeyinka Asekun on 21st Day of September, 2020 in a sealed diplomatic memo. This gesture is to promote the diplomatic relations between the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Canada.

Interested candidates are hereby advised to adhere strictly to the following instructions:
1. All applicants must send the Passport Biodata Page to the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for endorsement and certification/approval via [email protected] or [email protected].

2. The prospective applicants are required to contact the Nigerian Embassy, Canada directly immediately after sending their passports for prompt evaluation and proper clarifications where applicable via
+1 828 635 2262 or +1 206 319 5952. In a case of no response, applicants are required to call back after a while and keep in touch until certification is done.

3. The applicants must be a Nigerian Passport Holder.

4. The Passport must be at least six months valid.

5. For family E-visas: Every members are required to hold a Nigerian Passport, and each member MUST have their passports biodata pages sent to the embassy and calls by caregivers must be made as a follow up.
