I truly believe we should never stop learning and improving. Just completed a fun project in a workshop taught by fabulous artist, .otero. Had a lot of fun and it was so refreshing to just follow along with another artist's methods and process. I chose to play around with a bit of an emerald background. “Naptime”
A very meaningful and enjoyable gratitude project for me. These dogs belong to a long-time teacher and mentor of mine, Frances Holmes. The dog on the right has crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈 and the puppy is coming into herself now, another wonderful obedience competitor in the making. It’s always fun to be able to surprise someone who has done so much for others.
Our dogs are with us for what feels like moments in time. But they remain with us forever. ❤️🐾

“A Girl And Her Horse”
Had the honour of painting this beautiful team. The reference photo was provided by my dear friend, Lisa. The sunset was magnificent and it made for a wonderful challenge of colour, tones and tints. So grateful to Lisa for this lovely commission of her daughter and her horse. Loved this project! ❤️🐎

“Bear”
Another hero has crossed the rainbow 🌈 bridge. It was my pleasure and honour to capture Bear for his partner and family he leaves behind. Bear performed his service dog duties right to his last moments. He was exemplary. I was so proud of this team. Bear is missed dearly. I truly hope this helps to keep his memory close to the hearts of his family. 🖤💙🖤

“Jewels”
To say it was an honour to paint Jewels is an understatement. Jewels was an incredible, one-of-kind service dog with an unbelievable work ethic. She gave her all right to her last days. She remains in the heart of her partner and family and always will. I loved working with this team. Part of our original crew! ❤️ 🥰 I hope this helps to keep her memory close.

"Belle" This was a very special portrait for my daughter-in-law, Cassie. Belle had us all very worried about her health this year and with much love and care, has miraculously returned to her old self with a few new twists. 😉. When you see tears at the revealing of the portrait, it's the best for an artist. It means you captured their loved one. Priceless!
