For Residents with good swallowing ability, drinking an adequate amount of water is crucial for Seniors living in Long Term Care, especially for their oral health. 🦷 Water promotes saliva production, helping to rinse away bacteria and food particles between teeth.
For Residents with difficulty swallowing, an H2O thickener can be used.

Additionally, hydration keeps the oral mucosa moist, reducing the risk of dry mouth and oral issues. Regular water intake can contribute to maintaining healthy teeth and gums in older individuals. 💦
