Well I have been out of commission for the past 2 1/2 months and could not paint , so now finally trying to finish a few paintings and try some new ideas as well.

She has never commissioned anything and was not sure what she would get , but in the end she said it was more than she expected.

Well the last hour of this weekend’s studio tour and this painting which was just finished has sold to Darlene

Well this is a more contemporary view of our beach on the west coast - the idea came from one of those bright sunny days where the light is reflecting off the water , the puddles and it almost blinds you so all you see is blurred out colours and bright light

Well here is another still life I am working on right now and hopefully it may be done for the upcoming studio tour on July 15 & 16 , now tho I just have to wait for it to dry again before I can proceed . Thats ok as I have 5 others that I can hopefully work on or even 2 sketches

I decided to work with graphite as I always loved graphite and what better than my love of ferns . I am use to working in colour but black and white is classic and so I am working on a few smaller pieces right now

Well this painting is in it's final stages - I started in in July of 2022 and was not able to paint for many months after loss of my special Beau, but I picked up the paintbrush near the end of January and have worked on another couple of commissions .

It is inspired by the waters off the west coast of Vancouver Island near Ucluelet

Many thanks to Amanda of the Ladysmith area who recently purchased two paintings from me .
It has been tough the last few months to get inspired or feel the creative surge , so hopefully this will spur me on knowing that I have three new commissions to get working on
The first painting titled " The Third Wave " is 24" x18" and the second was tiltled " Water Study " and is 12" x 12" .
Once I start on commissions I will post pictures online for all to see progress.
