Art by Jan Bligh
My love of art began at a young age and grew as I explored many mediums and techniques.
Impressionism and abstraction are of of special interest to me as I work in primarily oils & acrylics.
I've added a few new paintings to my website if you are interested in checking them out at https://www.artbyjanbligh.com. Thanks for your interest.
This is my latest work. 30"x40" oil on canvas. I've called it "Breez'n The Backstretch". I love the power displayed by this horse and rider! Hope you like it. For pricing please visit my website.
This is my favourite room in my house. Hours in here pass in the wink of an eye! I will have more pieces to post soon. There is a clue as to the theme of my new works on the easel! Stay tuned.
Well, I've had a busy summer so far working on several pieces. I seem to be on a definite roll with equine works and will soon shift gears again. This is my recently completed work with two more to follow soon. I call this one "Sunday Morning". This old fellow looks like he had a bit of a rough Saturday Night! This an oil on canvas, 30"x40". Check out my website artbyjanbligh.com for pricing and to see my other works.
I was inspired to paint this as spring days usher in thoughts of warmer days ahead for those who enjoy getting out for a gorgeous evening sail to the backdrop of pink skies. Though I am not a sailor myself I always feel the beauty and solitude depicted by a sailboat going past. I hope you enjoy this latest painting I've called "Coming Home".
Here are two of my latest paintings. Both are 18"x18" on canvas.
The first was painted using mixed media and is called "You Ok?" It reminds me of the unique perspective you have of your horse after you've just fallen or been thrown off! The horse staring down at you, appears to ask "You Ok?"
The second was painted with oil and is called "Linda's Garden".
I would love any comments or feedback.
