You may have noticed my page has been quiet this last little while. Life has been busy. However, I wanted to share a special project that is near to my heart.

My sister in law, Morgan, approached me with a beautiful idea to honour her angel babies. This weekend would have been her daughter, Rhea’s first birthday, and her son Finley’s 6th birthday to follow in July. To honour them both the Mala below is made out of pure love with special stones representing my niece and nephew. Finley is aquamarine blue, describing the soft and peaceful soul we associate him to be. And Citrine yellow for our spunky little bee angel Rhea whom always has something to say when we hear her in our hearts.

I made two full length malas, made of 108 beads plus spacers, a half Mala of 54 beads plus spacers, a tree of life charm and of course the feather and charms representing both babies.

The small bracelet is for Asher, to hold his siblings near, one Mala for Morgan, the half Mala for Mitchell and the second Mala to connect them to their angels at their resting place.

Botswana Agate is a stone for the grieving, I love how this stone represents the ups and downs of grief, moments of light, moments of dark all swirled together in a stormy collection of emotions. It brings comfort and protection.

Smokey Quartz is a deep grounding stone, a healer for the root chakra. Helping to bring peace, and the ability to push forward in some of the darkest of moments. It brings hope.

White Agate brings a sense of peace, calm and connection to our positive spirit.

Rose Quartz is that stone of eternal love and the source for the name of this Mala. Even across spirit barriers, a mothers love for her children knows no bounds.

The stones really do speak, as Morgan and I were working through which stones and colours to pick, these stones just felt like they represented their family and especially Morgan’s love.

Softly Spring made from Unakite and Cherry Quartz with a little Swarovski thrown in. I love how this bracelet and earrings turned out .

Obsidian has become one of my favourite stones to work with. It is a type of volcanic glass that comes in many sheens including this silver sheen. When you turn the beads in the light you get shiny silver glints. Truly a cool stone.

Metaphysically, obsidian supports by cleansing the spirit, protecting against negativity and offers spiritual growth and advancement.

I just love Botswana Agate and this orange variety is just gorgeous. The stripes and swirls are beyond description.
