September will mark the end of my 2024 wedding season!

That means I will have more time to focus on other kinds of sessions.

My day job keeps me limited to weekends for the most part, but I can do the occasional weeknight while the suns still out late enough! I don’t have a ton of weekend availability, so if you’re wanting a fall session book ASAP!

Last weekend of summer break!

I always find myself quite ready for fall by this time of year, but I’ve been trying to stay more present in the seasons and soaking it all up… because let’s be real by the time January rolls around I’ll be missing these hot, sunny days by the lake!

I will be OOO from July 17th - July 22 and July 31st - August 5th ✌🏻

I’m such a sucker for black and whites!

I had a nice long break from instagram. And I honestly didn’t miss it.

I probably won’t be back for long, but I wanted to let people know that I’m still here and booking clients!

How I feel when I book another wedding!!

I got to start off the year as a wedding guest yesterday, and it got me so excited for wedding season to come!

If you’re engaged, it’s never to early to reach out to your preferred wedding vendors!

I still have availability for peak season this year, and am booking through 2025.

This was such a highlight of 2023!

Not only did I get to ride in a helicopter (long time bucket list item for me!)

But I got to witness one of my oldest friends .colbeck marry the love of her life ❤️

Thanks for such a great day.

This one will be hard to top, but I’m excited to see what 2024 has in store for my business.

Zoe and Tony’s wedding day was calling for rain all day, but it held off and we got some moody skies instead.

It’s the last few days before back to school!

This summer went by so fast, and was pretty chaotic if I’m being honest.

I’ve enjoyed sleeping in, and not rushing around in the morning, but am craving the routine that back to school brings, cooler temperatures and cozy clothes.

A few sneak peeks from this epic wedding!

Not only did I get to cross a helicopter elopement off my bucket list, but I got to watch one of oldest friends marry the love of her life.

I’ve spent a lot of sessions at the beach this summer, and it’s been so great!

I love a good backyard wedding.

The kind where everyone feels laidback and comfortable, people are walking around barefoot, kids are running around playing ❤️

One of my goals for this summer as a photographer is to start capturing my own life.

I spend a lot of time and energy taking photos for others, and usually just pull out my phone when it comes to my own kids.

I don’t want them to sit and pose, and I don’t want to have to have a perfectly setup space to make the photos look aesthetically pleasing. I just want to be able to remember life exactly as it was.

My hope is that in documenting my own life over the summer, it will help me grow as a photographer, and move away from prompts and poses and lean into the raw, natural candid moments.

To get things going, here’s a photo of my son, watching tv on my bed (sheets are in the wash). He has his favorite doll - JJ, and he’s watching cocomelon.

This is my life, as it is right now. A little boy, enjoying his favorite show, while I attempt to work away at a long list of things to do. My wall is a shade of blue I’m not fond of, and our blinds are outdated and ugly, but sprucing up our bedroom is low on our list of priorities.

Mothers Day minis this year will be offered at the end of April, and your galleries will be delivered to you before Mother’s Day (which is on May 14th if you haven’t looked that far ahead yet!)

It’s been a hot minute! I took a bit of a social media break over the past few months for some personal self-care ✌🏻

It felt reeaaaal good, and it allowed me to contemplate some things, and where I want to take my business this year without comparing it to what I see others doing on this silly app.

Things are getting busy for me, and my weekends are starting to fill up for the summer ☀️

If you have an event, or a specific weekend date you want photos, now is the time to get the ball rolling! I’m all about balance, so I’m going to have certain weekends blocked off to make sure I’m spending time with my family and friends ❤️

I am also planning some mini session dates coming up, and will be sharing that info soon! 🫶🏻
