One of my favourite ways to self-care being a introvert is to get up nice and early in the mornings and spend a little time with myself by having my morning cup of joe and reading my book, or taking a walk in the dark and feeling the stillness of the world and after a fresh snowfall at even more magical like this morning.

Introverts need time alone with peace and quiet to recharge their inner batteries.

Being an introvert there are times where I just can’t be around people, the noise and stimulation it’s overwhelming, so I crave these quiet moment’s.

I can reflect, create and just breathe a little easier so it’s a perfect way to self-care.

Meditation is not limited to any one posture, sitting in seated lotus pose sounds great till I put my knees in that position, they immediately start to hurt so I lay down, for it the most comfortable position, it allows me to relax. If you’ve taken a yoga class at the end you finish with a savasana, aka co**se pose, in which you lie down to rest, recover, and reap the full mind-body benefits of your physical practice, this is quite similar to that and feels just as good too.

At first your mind will race here and there. It will take you to your to do list, it will add things too, you will think of things you forgot but then you will focus back on your breath and those things will fade.

You will find yourself unclenching your jaw, letting the muscles you don’t need letting go and you’ll find your rhythm.

There are many amazing ones on you tube you can access for free that are guided and so very helpful I need those or maybe just the sounds of nature will be your jam.
