This stunning client came to me for a lower face refresh to prepare for a wedding she was in! 💒

I assessed her face and came up with a treatment plan specifically designed for her. We found that the “Premium Package” best suited all the areas she wanted to tackle which included 6 syringes of filler. 💉

Her lower face was a bit more challenging because she didn’t have a strong posterior jawline. So, I created a jawline for her using dermal fillers. I injected the jawline, prejowl sulcus, chin, added some cheek filler and tox to finish it off! 😍

DISSOLVING

Scenario: Your toilet is plugged with clumps of toilet paper. Do you try to unplug it or do you keep adding more toilet paper?

This client had a very small amount of filler injected almost a year ago elsewhere. She originally booked in to get more lip filler but upon assessment I noticed the lumps and incorrect placement of filler.

When filler is injected incorrectly it can sit in the wrong area and last many years and sometimes even forever because your body can’t properly metabolize it. In this case, the best option is to dissolve and start over.

Once dissolved, this gives me a fresh palate to work on. If I were to have injected over the old filler, it would have caused even more issues. So trust your injector when they recommend dissolving, it’s worth it!

Why are my undereyes hollow? 🤔

Well, I’m glad you asked! Over time, many changes happen beneath the surface of your skin, which ultimately cause you to look older, sometimes prematurely.

There are multiple layers of facial fat pads in the face. These fat pads can atrophy (waste away) or hypertrophy (become fuller) as we age. Typically, they atrophy in the tear trough area and cause a separation rather than blending in with the overall shape of your face (as they do when you’re young). These clients typically present with complaints of having hollow, dark, or tired undereyes.

If you have hypertrophy of the fat pads you’re most likely not a candidate for undereye filler. I will usually refer these clients for a surgical consult. Sometimes adding filler when you’re not an appropriate candidate can make the area worse.

This is where dermal fillers can come into play. When injected correctly, they can replenish the lost volume and takes us back to our old selves!
