Equiwellness is offering red light therapy and thermal imaging sessions and have a new monthly package and time slots available! (St. John's/CBS and surrounding areas) Please contact us for more information or if you would like to book a session.

Single Red Light Session- $25

Weekly Red Light Package (3 sessions per week) - $60 per week

NEW: Monthly Red Light Package $180 (3 sessions per week for 1 month) *$60 savings, minimum of 2 months required*

Thermal Imaging Session- $40 (includes pictures and videos)

What is red light therapy?

Red light therapy uses visible red light, which ranges from 630 to 660 nanometers and NIR light, which is just outside the range of visible light for humans and ranges from 810nm to 850nm. After penetrating the skin, red/NIR wavelengths stimulate the production of cellular energy and the synthesis of collagen. Boosting collagen production can help horses heal from injury by rebuilding damaged connective tissue; and if the horse has a skin wound, it can help heal more cleanly, with less scarring.

Red light therapy can help speed up the treatment of conditions such as:
•Joint pain (from osteoarthritis, or overuse injury that has led to cartilage degradation),
•Wounds,
•Connective tissue injuries (sprains and strains of ligaments and tendons),
•Muscle injuries (strains and tears),
•Cartilage degradation (caused by osteoarthritis or overuse),
•Muscle recovery from training,
•Back pain,
•Inflammation,
•Neuropathy and neuropathic pain.
