Most everyone has or knows someone who has these outdoor wooden chairs, or Adirondack Chairs, in their yards but have you ever wondered where they originated from?

The iconic Adirondack Chair was originally design by Thomas Lee back in 1903. While vacationing in the Adirondack Mountains of New York he felt the need for a comfortable chair for relaxing outdoors. He went back to his cottage and go to work creating the very first Adirondack chair!

Little did he know his ingenious creation was the beginning of a classic chair that is still seen on most yards, patios and wherever people are looking to relax outdoors to this day!
