I had a lady come up to me last night saying she was at one of the George Canyon shows on his tour across Newfoundland last year and heard me sing this song. She asked if I could sing it… There is no way in this world I would ever turn down a request for a little Merle!

This one feels special to me. I remember the day Jesse Slack and I wrote this one. It was my second trip to Nashville and was settling in nicely with Jesse and his family. Got me thinkin’ about what home means to me and getting back to the place I wanna be, and the true meaning of how important family really is. It has two meanings in my mind, getting back on a familiar road, literally, but also getting back on a familiar road as in your path in life. Spending time with Jesse, Katie, and Reb has been a blessing and can’t wait to get back down there to see their new place. I personally love this one and can’t wait to share it with you soon! ❤️🙏
Been rollin’ like a tumbleweed…that don’t fit in these city streets. 🛣️🎶 This song is definitely a special one. For ya’ll out there who are homesick and/or at a point in your life where you’re getting back on the right track. Has many meanings.
