This piece was custom-made for my aunt in Florida. It's of her & my cousin Michelle hiking. I used yarn to create my cousins hair. She has dreads, which are sometimes different colors, and she usually wears her hair up with a scarf. I think it turned out great.

I've been MIA for the past month as we were away for 3 weeks and then I was swamped with work when I got back.

I took a walk along the beach though this afternoon and I came across some really cool seaweed. It's perfect for some plant art. It's drying out right now and I can't wait to see what I create with it!

We shelled on two different beaches today! And believe me, I could have spent all day on one of them. My cousin Michelle found the snail shell. It's a rare find & it's actually a lot bigger than it looks! In all my years of coming to Florida, I've never seen beaches with this many shells. It was AMAZING!

I still need to speak with someone at the post office regarding shipping costs in Canada and in the US! I also need to figure out how I can accept payment from customers in the US!

It's easier to keep track of all the requests this way! I've sold quite a few already just by posting on social media! That's how I run my gardening business and it has worked perfectly for over 8 years!

I do have some custom pieces in the works and have had quite a few requests for the hockey player, it turned out to be quite popular. I'm also working on making a dancer, a drummer, a cyclist, and another grandma & her grandchildren.

I'm in the process of trying to set up a shop on Facebook and Instagram, and apparently, it isn't as easy as I thought it would be. Fb won't allow me to add a shop because my Instagram page is too new and not well established 🙄.

So... I am looking at other options such as an Etsy shop. This may take me some time though, as I'm trying to finish up my university degree (I graduate in June) while working part-time in a law firm, running my gardening business, and creating art!

Some of the pieces I've posted thus far are already spoken for! However, once I have my shop open, the remaining pieces will go up for sale.

I still have to figure out pricing, payment options, shipping costs, packaging, etc. So this is a work in progress. I will continue to make more pieces as my schedule allows. I may also consider making custom designs at some point, but that may not come until later.
