โNow, little by little I could begin to enjoy the unprecedented colors and plays of shapes that persisted behind my closed eyes. Kaleidoscopic, fantastic images surged in on me, alternating, variegated, opening and then closing themselves in circles and spirals, exploding in colored fountains, rearranging and hybridizing themselves in constant flux. It was particularly remarkable how every acoustic perception, such as the sound of a door handle or a passing automobile, became transformed into optical perceptions. Every sound generated a vividly changing image, with its own consistent form and color.โ

We would like to announce to everyone a study pertaining to chronic daily headache (CDH), with is looking to recruit youth advisors ages 13-18. The 12-15 recruits would be asked to contribute a total of 3 hours, taking place as 2 90-minute sessions on December 5th and 12th. The study is being done collaboratively with the University of Manitoba, University of Calgary, and Canadian Childhood Cannabinoid Clinical Trials (C4T). Recruits would be compensated $25/hour for the 3 hours of time spent.
๐น
The sessions would be completely online, so all that is needed is a computer. Youth advisors will be meeting with the rest of the research team, which includes other researchers, as well as a physician, pharmacist, and psychologist.
๐น
The goal of this project is to increase the influence and input of children and adolescence into (1) the development of clinical research on cannabis health products for the treatment of chronic daily heaches, and (2) c0-design an intervention for migraine in the emergency department, specifically regarding which novel treatment should be evaluated next.
๐น
This is an incredible opportunity for youth to give their input and have it translated to real-world actions in a meaningful way that could potentially help millions. For more information feel free to DM us or contact the Project Coordinator Zina Zaslawski via the email [email protected]
