We are excited to announce the launch of our latest program, Mingle & Model. Arriving after Thanksgiving, this program for kids ages 5-9 is designed to foster connection and community. Through arts & crafts, science, cooking, storytelling, and themed activities, your child will have the opportunity to engage with peers, interact with experienced clinicians, and feel a sense of belonging. At the same time, your child will further develop their language skills through routines, narratives, pretend play, and language modeling. Modeling is a powerful tool when it comes to developing language, and can be used therapeutically whether your child is a verbal communicator, a gestalt language processor, an AAC user, or even if they’ve been working on producing their speech sounds more clearly. The power of modeling is further unlocked in the group setting, where kids can serve as peer models for each other!
Call or visit the link in our bio to learn more about this program, conveniently scheduled on Saturday mornings in Downtown Barrie.
We hope to see you there!

My favourite author and comedian Laura Clery took her son Alfie to Speech Therapy for the first time! If you're looking for a realistic glimpse of what to expect in speech therapy with toddlers, check out this vlog! This looks very similar to what my early intervention sessions look and sound like, and Laura's concerns are SO COMMON! Watch to the end and see how happy parents are when they finally have tools to help their child!
Thank you Laura for sharing!
