Memory dumps from our Newfoundland Circumnavigation:
Greenland & Wild Labrador concluded with a beautiful sunset on the sail into St John's Harbour. The following morning, new passengers embarked who are eager to discover the wonders of Newfoundland!
We enjoyed several tours and Taste of Place features around Bonavista and Trinity today. Passengers went on a lovely historical tour making stops at Cape Bonavista Light, the Mockbeggar Planatation and Ye Matthew Legacy. Some embarked on a hike up to a spectacular view of the coast, others went foraging and enjoyed a handmade pizza workshop followed by a group lunch at the Bonavista Social Club! Some of us even had a surprise stop at Port Rexton Brewing on the way back. We ended our day on land, exploring the picturesque town of Trinity.
Our day concluded with a delicious serving of line-caught Fogo Island Cod prepared by Lori McCarthy of Cod Sounds—a wonderful introduction to Taste of Place!

As Travel Buddy, we are thrilled to be partnering with bit.ly/travellifeteam on our "How Travel Buddy Develops a Tour" series. One of our first tours is the Montreal and Quebec City by Scenic Rail tour, which we typically offer during the Christmas season to coincide with the Christmas markets in both cities.
Initially, we only offered tours to clients within Canada. However, after receiving interest from clients outside Canada, we decided to explore the possibility of reaching new clients. In February 2023, we organized a scouting trip for two clients from the United States, Linda and Steve, to Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa, and Toronto. They were impressed with our tour service and choices of hotels, as well as the outstanding service provided by ViaRail, the Canadian rail company.
During their stay in Quebec City, they made a great contact who could handle everything with their touring program, including transfers, tours, and guides. After visiting all four cities, we decided to scale back the tour to just Montreal and Quebec City.
