“About 91% of women are unhappy with their bodies and resort to dieting and 58% of college girls feel pressured to be a certain weight.” 😳 We read these numbers with a mix of sadness and surprise. Which also made us think 🤔 If we were truly happy with our bodies. And to be quite honest the answer is “most of the time yes”. But it took quite some time and self love to get where we are. For a long time the answer was “no”, and that, by the way, had nothing to do with weight but rather due to much deeper reasons. So ladies, let’s try to be more caring, loving and accepting towards our own beautiful bodies shall we? ❤️ ✅ Let’s celebrate all that our bodies allow us to do daily, even if you have a disability. ✅ Let’s embrace our post baby bodies for it have given the gift of life!!! That’s a big deal! ✅ Let’s celebrate our 40+ bodies that sure is different than our 20s bodies but pretty and powerful nonetheless! ✅ Let’s embrace our curves if you have them or small thighs if you them! 💥 Let’s focus on our uniqueness instead of trying to look like the chick on IG. Harder than it seems! This gentle yet super effective exercise will strengthen: ⚡️ glut medius ⚡️quadriceps ⚡️hamstrings ⚡️ core 💥 while working on flexibility ✳️ proper form is key! ✳️So keep the hips stacked on top of each other and do not let them sway ✳️ keep your knee parallel to the floor. Don’t let it drop! 1. Keep your knee straight and bring your leg forward without letting the hips sway. 2. When you have gone as far as you can, bend your knee. 3. Keeping your knee bent (and parallel to the floor) bring your leg back, without letting the hips sway! 4. Once you have gone as far back as you can, straighten your knee and repeat the cycle. 5. After 10 x or you lose form, reverse! This is exercise is ✅ beginners friendly ✅ seniors friendly ✅ great runner or cyclist warm up 💡it will reveal some tightness and weakness right away: 📌I have very tight hip flexors so you see that I can’t go back very far 📌 I also have very tight hamstrings so I don’t go forward very far 📌And I have some glut medius weakness so you may see the knee dropping a bit. 🥴 Give this exercise a try and let us know ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️ Check us out at www.roothealingandnutrition.ca Like our content?
