Folks, it is as exciting as it can get. B**gGTA SC, like every year, is thrilled to bring to you the Independence Cup celebrations. Two back-to-back fiery matches filled with passion and excitement. It will be a treat to watch the age old rivalry between the two storied clubs of Indian soccer - Mohun Bagan and East Bengal, spring to life as the supporters battle it out for unquestionable glory. Following that game - this year we will take the event to the next level when we adopt a new theme - Indian soccer enthusiasts take on the soccer lovers from the rest of the world. We at B**gGTA SC - are a family where we celebrate our friendship and our passion for soccer. Congratulations to Blue Venoms for being the B**g GTA FC Summer League winners!
A nail biting finish to the summer league where the contention was fought till the last match. Team Blue Venoms and Green Avengers went into the last match with same points on the table.
A well contested match saw Blue Venoms winning 2-1 and winning the league. Both the teams put up a great fight and it was sure a match to witness, a viewing pleasure to the spectators as well as both teams put up a great show!
Congratulations again to the Blue Venom Team for being the league winners!

We are in the endgame now! 2 Matches to go and it doesn't get better than this!
3 points and 1 match separating the top contenders (Green Avengers and Blue Venoms) to decide who becomes the 1st BonGTA FC Summer league champion!

A herculean comeback and a convincing win by Team Mohun Bagan (3-0) over opponents ensures that the Indepence cup honors are shared between the two teams.
An electrifying event comes to an end with Football eventually rising up as the champion. Both the teams showed an excellent display of skills and composure over the 2 days and delivered a high quality game on the lush green field!
An ode to India, A salute to Indian football. This marks the closure of our 2023 Independence cup. Here's a video which captures the moments across both the days.

To the victor goes all the spoils! Team East Bengal gets the bragging rights from the 1st BonGTA FC Derby Match with a comfortable 2-0 win over Team Mohun Bagan.
But All is not lost, the 2nd Derby match awaits to decide the winner for the B**gGTA FC Independence Cup.
Will it be Team East Bengal? Will it be Team Mohun Bagan? Or will the honor be shared amongst both the teams ?

A day of celebration, a celebration of sacrifices made by our martyrs , a celebration of constant growth and prosperity! A remembrance of the day when India became a nation. A nation which is a shining beacon to the world.

Independence Day Cup 2022 Winners! Mohan Bagan

As the millions joined in celebrating India’s 75th year of independence, B**gGTA brought the independence celebration to the neighbour hood in GTA in a lot of style and gusto!!
The members of B**gGTA celebrated by simulating the oldest football rivalry in India.
Members were divided into the factions of the oldest clubs - Mohun Bagan and East Bengal.
A strong contest between the two factions ended up in a well deserved draw to celebrate the spirit of the sport.
However the celebrations didn’t end there- Flag Hoisting, embracing the national anthem and some yummy snacks were there to conclude a remarkable and a great evening for us !!!

In the immortal words of Bollywood legend SRK, *Haar ke jitne waale ko hi Baazigar kehte hain*.
Yes we lost the game, but our efforts ensured that we win the hearts of our opponents. The scoreline might give a different picture but our boys ensured to put their best game on the field.
As always, this loss doesn’t mean the end of the world. We are more determined than ever to deliver! We will not stop and never let a bad day spoil the mood ahead

A valiant effort by our boys ensured a great fight on the field, but alas the result didn’t work in our favour! A close margin of 2 goals to 3 shows the hunger and determination for victory our boys had!
This is a marathon, not a sprint. We are very motivated and confident that we will bounce back on Wednesday and we will shine in the Mississauga Men’s soccer league as the brightest star!
