The truth is that, after 2 years of doing things one way with no open, respectful debate and little interest on the part of the government, media, universities in evaluating the success of the pandemic response, we are where we are.

And where we are is this:

Millions of missed cancer screenings and delayed surgeries. A children’s mental health crisis on multiple continents. Alcoholism, addiction, obesity. Lost employment. Lost income. Broken friendships and families. A crippling state of fear.

It’s incumbent on us to look very closely at the data and the science, where it comes from, and how it is generated if we want to move to a better place in the future.

Our opinions of one another as people are irrelevant compared to the obligations we have to the truth.

I'm calling all concerned parents to come on Sept 7th between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. to meet and greet Stephen and Effie and tell them what Halton parents think about mask and vaccination mandates imposed on our children. It doesn't matter what school our children go - let's show them "Mama and Papa Bears" in action.

2. I know that for some Sep 7th is a first day of school BUT do you really care if your masked children are late for school?
