ASTROLOGY-A VERY SCIENTIFIC STREAM OF KNOWLEDGE
Ancient astrologers very well knew that apart from throwing light on planets/stars, solar activities, their inter relationships their mutual influences, information on how the earth’s atmosphere, plants and creatures get affected, Astrology Science has one more domain viz. to make mankind aware of good/bad reactions of flow of consciousness in subtle interstellar space. Hence great Gurus of Astrology Sciences in those times not only knew about inter planetary activities but they also mastered soul sciences and consciousness. As a result along with gaining information regarding the solar system since they were aware of spiritual cures to induce desired movements therein time and again programs on a large scale were etched for experimentation, research, Anushthan, remedies and congregational spiritual applications.
In this very direction ancient Indian astrologers conducted profound research and have put forth their conclusions. Examples of these AryaBhatt’s Jyotish Sidhant, Kal Kriya Pad Golpad, Surya Sidhant and on it Nardev, Brahmagupta’s research, Bhaskar Swami’s Mahabhaskariya etc rare and precious literature that is full of many profound mysteries and Astrology research data. In the 1st leg of the book Jyotish Sidhant mathematics has been correlated to Astrology Science. In Kal Kriya Pad there is great detail of Astronomy. In the same way its last leg which constitutes 50 verses in one chapter called Golpad throws light on important secrets of Astrology Science. Varah Mihir in his ‘Panch Sidhantik’ has detailed 5 astrology principles called Paulish, Ropak, Vashishtha, Saur and Pitamah which throws detailed light on Astrology Science.
Right from weather to political events while making predictions people bring about desired changes in their programs. This fact is no less important with reference to influences emerging due to planetary positions in space. Astrology Science that gives this information by merely describing Falit Jyotish based on planetary position influences is not a mundane field of knowledge so as to render gullible people fearful but that based on mathematical calculations by prophesying apt situations and possibilities is a great advanced science that warns us well in advance to usher in desired changes in our day to day activities.
If we deeply cogitate over major Yogas (positions) of planets that have occurred since the past 50 years we shall realize that due to their influence forces that obstruct world peace have appeared in a big way. Unfortunately political leaders the world over made influential decisions on such occasions with reference to the life and needs of millions of people wherein the influence of planets was hazardous and opposing in nature. The result of this was that in these last 50 years we saw gigantic ideals and hope based programs fail miserably only to get destroyed. Many such failed programs include proclamation of non alignment by American President Wilson, his 14 principles, the rules of League of Nations, Washington’s No weapon and Keelag Pact, Davos Plan, Young Plan, Hoover’s program of world neo creation, Stimson Program, President Roosevelt’s ‘Quarantine Speech’ and proclamation of 4 independences, Hull’s 17 principles, Atlantic Charter, Yalta’s proclamation, formation of UNO, Truman’s speech, India’s partitioning, problem of Kashmir, regions in India developing on the basis of various languages spoken there, Eisenhower’s proclamation and so on. The chief reason for all these failures is related to planetary positions. Their cause certainly is not worldly mundane situations but is in fact our intellect, character and thought process. In fact its basis is on the thinking involved behind solutions to world problems designed during conferences of leading world politicians. For example take a look at the horoscope of League of Nations. The chief planet Mars of England affected all politicians participating in the Versailles’ Treaty Conference in such a manner that only England’s viewpoint got due assent and as a result of this the mode of functioning of League of Nations took such a path that manifested as a horrible 2nd World War. The state of UNO a bye product of League of Nations too is no better because its creation too took place under malefic influences of planetary positions.
Two large countries wage war only planetary positions are that much more special. When Saturn, Rahu and Mars are in one house and are in that Zodiac Sign which create agitation, such incidences are noted. If we mull over the planetary position noted during the 1st world war it will become clear that at that hour Rahu-Jupiter and Mangal-Ketu were in Dwirad-Dasha (2 pronged), Saturn-Mars were in one house and Rahu-saturn were in one Trikon (triangle). In the same way if we study the horoscope of 2nd world war it is clear that the planetary positions verily were wrathful. The powerful planet of democracy Saturn was in Aries Zodiac Sign and in Ashwini Nakshatra (galaxy) along with Ketu and on this was Mars complete view (Purna Drishti). Jupiter and Saturn were in Dwirad-Dasha and Rahu-Jupiter was in Shashthashtak (at 6 to 8 degrees from each other). In this manner gigantic horrific wars of the world were definitely fought during very influential planetary positions. At the time when Saturn shall enter Sagittarius Zodiac Sign many conspiracies will set rolling in Russia and leading people shall get killed. Behind the Iron Curtain many astounding transformations shall occur as a result of which the inner group of Russia shall change drastically. As a result of this that country will see discontent and shall not try to fight America.

MAGICAL BENEFIT OF FASTING
Eating is an essential function for the survival of body but what to eat and how to eat is a very important aspect. Even members of other species in the animal kingdom know it well but we, the wisest ones, do not know so well nor care to follow. The digestion system, like many other important systems of the body, keeps on working throughout life. It is imperative that periodical relief is given to the digestion system. Restraint is the foundation of a healthy life.
Fasting keeps the body alert and healthy. It not only helps the body but also helps one to learn and practise control over mind. Mind control helps one in leading a fruitful and successful life.
Generally, the relevant part of whatever we eat is converted by the body for its sustenance and the waste is ejected. We wonder as to why there are ailments relating to the stomach and why certain type of foods cause harm to the body. It should be understood that certain part of our intake gets stuck in intestines and causes decay and invites ailments. By opting for regular fast, waste elements are drained out and the intestines are kept healthy. There are more benefits of fasting.
Generally one observes fast for fulfilment of wishes and fast is undertaken in the manner which is contrary to the objective of cleansing and resting the digestive system.
Most people, while fasting, consume rich and oily food, contrary to the intent and purpose of fast. Our general notions of fast are ridiculous and foolish. Fasts observed according to those notions will not help our body and mind.
One can observe weekly, fortnightly or monthly fast for giving rest to the digestive system. In case it is necessary for overcoming a particular ailment, continuous fast for few days can also be observed. On the eve of day of fast one should take fruit juice or boiled vegetables only. On the day of fast one should take plenty of water and should walk 1.5 to 2.0 km. E***a thereafter is very useful. If weakness is felt, one should take limewater. On the day of fast heavy workload should be avoided and rest should be taken. Restrain your wavering mind, and control your speech. One should, in fact, observe silence.
The day after the fast is equally important. The restraint of the day of fast should not give way to rush for eating the next day. The fast should be broken with fruit juice and in the afternoon and evening on the day after fast, simple, boiled and easy to digest food should be eaten. The breaking of fast is as important as observing the fast. The fast should be observed in the manner that it gives maximum benefit to mind and body.
Believe in Yourself
If you wish that others should believe in you, the easiest and best way is that first you believe in yourself. There are many people who are considered irresponsible and unscrupulous; no one believes them; they are upbraided everywhere. Such people normally don’t have faith in themselves. Their faces, expressions and speech clearly indicate that they don’t believe in themselves.
People in the external world label us the way we present ourselves to them. When misery, poverty, incapability, disappointment, weakness, etc are expressed through our behavior, conduct and character, people consider us to be miserable, poor, incapable, disappointed, weak, etc and treat us accordingly. Those who meet the challenges of life courageously and confidently are surely able to achieve their objectives. God helps those who help themselves.
Whatever task is in your hands, try to accomplish it with full attention. Believe fully in your ability, wisdom and competence. Focus your entire energy and aim at accomplishing your target. Discard inferiority complex and laziness and learn to do the work in hand with seriousness, enthusiasm and confidence. Always keep in mind that only self-confident persons are successful in this world.
GURU PURNIMA( A HOLY AUSPICIOUS OCCASION)
Guru purnima is a certain Hindu festival celebrated all over India every year and this festival is mainly dedicated to the academic and spiritual teachers. Apart from Hindus Buddhists also celebrate this festival to show their appreciation and gratitude towards their teacher. In some places in India it is also known as the guru puja. If we go back to the ancient times then we will be able to find the meaning of the word Guru.
It is actually a combination of two Sanskrit words “Gu” and “Ru”. “Gu” in Sanskrit means ignorance or darkness and “Ru” means the remover of the darkness. Basically the person who is responsible for removing the darkness is known as Guru. Guru purnima is normally celebrated on a full moon night in the month of June or July. This year Guru Purnima celebration will take place in the month of July.
The festival of Guru Poornima is believed to have been celebrated by Buddhists first, as their Guru - Lord Buddha is said to have delivered his first sermon at Saarnaath on this day. Hindus used to pay homage to Vyaas Muni on the day of Guru Poornima. This is why Guru Poornima is also known as Vyaas Poornima and Gnyaan Poornima, it also being the birthday of Guru Ved Vyaas.
Guru is also equivalent to 'Tridev' - Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh, and as per the Indian culture, only Guru (the spiritual master) is considered as someone who can show the path that leads to one of these Gods. The following Shloka confirms this belief -
Gurur Brahma, Gurur Vishnuhu, Guru Devo Maheswaraha
Guru Saakshaat Parabhrahma, Tasmai Sri Gurve Namah
Guru Poornima is basically the festivals of the 'seekers' – the seekers of the divine wisdom, knowledge, spirituality, peace and greater prudence.
On this auspicious day you can do the following -
Take blessings of your Guru,
If you do not have an appointed Guru, you may also perform the Pooja of your family deity.
You may also offer yellow clothes or Sandalwood, yellow pulses (daal) at a temple or to any Brahmin on this day.
Guru Poornima can also be called as the 'Teacher's Day', as per the Indian spiritual practices and culture. Sant Kabir has rightly stated that -
Guru ke sumiran maatr se, nasht vighn anant
Taase sarv aarambh me(i), Dhyaavat hai sab sant
(Just by remembering your Guru, you will be able to overcome all the obstacles. That's why at the beginning of everything, Guru is remembered – not only by the saints, but also by many common people)
How To Detach Past Negative Experiences
Our lives are the result of countless thoughts, experiences and memories. How we react to each and every circumstance we encounter in life is dependent on many factors. In this article I want to share the importance of associations and attachments to things we experience, and how they greatly affect our life's direction.
Mental Reference Points
The mind works off many points in time – past, present and future. It uses the past as a reference point based upon things that have happened previously and how we feel about them. This is ultimately based on the way we question experiences and the attachment we place upon them. In the present when we are faced with a certain situation, we flick back through other similar experiences using these reference points, which in turn help create the outcome we choose in the present. Therefore it is important to be aware that the attachment we give to things will ultimately play a large role in the outcomes we create in the future.
Emotions play a huge role in this. It is important to take control of your thoughts and feelings to ensure you attach the correct 'label' so to speak for how you feel about every single thing that happens in your life. This is so you can properly file away your experiences so they can be used in a positive context later on.
Degrees of Attachments
Attachments comes in varying degrees, ranging from “nothing” to the “extreme”. When we have 'extreme' or 'nothing' attachments, these will both will control our lives and stop us living our true self. When you view a situation and experience it in a neutral manner, you are in the 'meditation mode' of the mind so to speak. This is the 'reflective side', which is the proper way to use what is called the 'negative side'. This is to the best way to find faults, free from judgement and completely detached, in order to find the solution. Doing this you can act upon the situation, giving yourself a new direction and or a plan of attack for the outcome required with a new purpose.
An interesting sidenote - up until about the age of 40 we are more attached to the makings of others. This includes their opinions, who we should be, what we shouldn't do etc. This happens until we become wise and detach held beliefs which are not necessarily our own. The quicker we learn this the quicker we live a more true representation of our own life .
The Heart (Feelings)
The mind is controlled by the heart and the attachments/feelings it has from experiences. The vibrations from your heart magnetize you towards situations, people and outcomes you are attached to based on past experiences. This is all based upon how you feel, as the heart absorbs feelings and puts them into an emotional context through its connection with your mind.
When we attach ourselves to a point of view or experience we are creating an outcome – be it negative or positive. We give purpose and direction to that outcome on a subconscious level.
The Role Of Anger
The emotion of anger is directed internally, often by saying “this will never happen to me again”. This will grab the attention of the subconscious and force it into protection and self-preservation mode. At this stage your subconscious response will be to look out for you as it tries to stop the re-occurring events. However if your subconscious response is over-protective it will create fear, thus finding the right balance is the key here. It is important to be aware of this change and the thoughts which pop in your mind. Here you should question the purpose of each thought, and if it sounds over the top (which you will know by your behaviors and the way you feel) it may even stop you living life and going into seclusion.
Not Repeating the Same Themes
It is the magnetic effect of the flow of energy at any point in time that your reality is created. When you have the same reoccurring circumstances in life like “why does this always happens to me” that the flow of energy is not right. This is when you require change.
When faced with this cycle, the past must be dealt with. Doors need to be closed as you move forward by creating new attachments, lessons learnt, new points of view, being grateful of the experiences, adopting a “been there done that” attitude, and creating a new purpose and direction in your life. In this way you can use even negative past experiences much like a university degree that fuels the knowledge of what to do better next time.
To do this you must take responsibility , face the truth and stop excuses and guessing games. The “WHY ME” attitude is simply a bandage for the the truth, acting like a cloud covering the sun.
Relationships
Take a look at the relationship you have with yourself and whoever/whatever else is in your life. Any relationship you have, living or material, set a benchmark for this in your mind. The mind, body and spirit then create a behavior, a cause and affect with the relationship, and like every relationship, the more you appreciate and look after whatever it is , the more you receive by giving. When the relationship is not appreciated or used for the wrong purpose, it falls apart. The neutral side is to review this, fix it, and move forward. This can be especially done through hypnosis to create a new direction , purpose and action and also with mediation to review and reflect.
Detaching Past Experiences
If you don’t detach your negative past experiences which affect your life, they will continue to haunt you and reoccur through an auto-pilot type effect. Detachment comes from a seed which evolves within until you have had enough and explode. This happens when you are forced to change because everything seems out of our control, or feeling empty, or until something greater enters your life. When creating change at this point, the seed must be dealt with or it will reappear and make no mistake, it will affect you on every level mind body and spirit. Signs will include low energy, over-eating /addictive behaviours, or the physical body is affected because you are not looking after yourself.
Life is a like a heart beat. When you are living YOUR life it is alive, when you stop living YOUR life it becomes flat lined so to speak. Life will always have its ups and downs... these are simply opportunities for you to shine, detach problems, and attach yourself to solutions. Therefore it is important to choose your attachments wisely.
The mental benefits of the silence .
Awareness
First, see how difficult it is for you to find a quiet space with the absence of any noise. Once you get there, set your watch for two minutes of silence where you sit in quiet and relax. If you find this difficult, that's fine. The real first step to adopting silence is noticing it. The more you do, the more likely your brain will be grateful, as well as you and the people around you. Practicing silence is a form of mindfulness where you're aware and in the moment, open to just pause from the world of noise, and allowing your brain some resources and space. In these moments, you may find more clarity.
Accountability
When some people are learning skills like silence or mindfulness, their brain may not co-operate, resulting in some tension and the brain firing off a mini alarm: "I forgot to call Mary back; I need to text her now that I will call in the morning."
This micro skill requires practice, patience and the self-discipline that you will accept your first thought. For example, "For the next two minutes I'm going to sit in silence and the world can wait."
Action
Creating silence action steps:
Begin with preparation – Determine where your quiet spot will be, and have all distractions like cell phones and telephones turned off. Safe ear plugs and noise cancellation headphones may be helpful for finding silence.
Set a silence target – Start with short silence sprints of two to three minutes, and build from there.
Be still and silent – Get into a comfortable position with your eyes open, gazing down at the floor, and allow your mind to do as it pleases. Set no rule other than being still and silent for the targeted silence session. There's no need for pressure; this isn't a pass or fail, just silence.
Ignore the impulse for stimuli – Commit to your silence target without checking texts, e-mail or reading. Just be still and silent with your thoughts. Keep it simple; no distractions.
Stop and re-enter your world – Once your time is up, get on with your day. With pressure gone, notice how you may have remembered a name you were looking for, found a solution to a particular problem or felt more relaxed after the silence session. This can help your critical conscious brain see the benefits. The more you practice, the more you'll notice how silence can help you gain new perspectives that were not possible with all the stimuli and noise around you.
AMAZING FENUGREEK
The health benefits of fenugreek include relief from anemia, loss of taste, fever, dandruff, stomach disorders, biliousness, respiratory disorders, mouth ulcers, sore throat, diabetes, inflammations, wounds, and insomnia. It is beneficial in lactation and helps in improving digestion, and is used in hair care. It is also shown to reduce cholesterol levels and protect heart health, while simultaneously boosting the immune system and protecting against flu and various infections.
Fenugreek is an annual plant that is also known as methi in many places of the world. It is native to the Middle and Near East and is widely used in the Indian subcontinent. It has small round leaves and that can be dried. There is even evidence that the ancient Egyptians understood the benefits of fenugreek since its seeds have been found in tombs, particularly of Tutankhamen.
Fenugreek Nutrition Facts
It contains a variety of beneficial nutrients, including iron, magnesium, manganese, and copper, as well as vitamin B6, protein, and dietary fiber. Fenugreek also contains a number of powerful phytonutrients, including choline, trigonelline, yamogenin, gitogenin, diosgenin, tigogenin, and neotigogens.
Good for Breastfeeding Mothers
India’s traditional Ayurvedic physicians prescribe fenugreek to nursing mothers. This benefit is attributed to the presence of diosgenin in it. This can help increase the amount of milk that is produced by the breasts, and the magnesium and vitamin content of fenugreek also help improve the milk’s quality to keep the infant healthy.
Reduces Menstrual Discomfort
Fenugreek is considered as a potent substance that eases the process of menstruation and relieves the associated symptoms. It is an emmenagogue, which means that it can open up obstructed me**es to make the most feminine of processes work smoothly and comfortably.
Minimizes Symptoms of Menopause
Fenugreek contains the chemicals diosgenin and estrogenic isoflavones, which are similar to the female s*x hormone, estrogen. Loss of estrogen causes menopausal symptoms. So, eating it helps reduce menopausal symptoms like mood swings, depression, cramps, and abnormal hunger pangs. It helps monitor a number of other hormones as well, keeping many other bodily processes in line as well.
Lowers Cholesterol Levels
Research studies show that fenugreek consumption helps reduce cholesterol level. It helps reduce the level of low-density lipoprotein (LDL cholesterol) significantly, which can prevent various conditions like atherosclerosis, heart attacks, and strokes. It is a rich source of fiber, which scrapes excess cholesterol off of the arteries and blood vessels of the body. By reducing cholesterol content in the bloodstream, you reduce the chances of clots forming or becoming stuck in the vessels.
Reduces Cardiovascular Risks
The seeds contain 25% galactomannan. This is a type of natural soluble fiber which specifically relates to a reduction in cardiovascular diseases.
Controls Diabetes
Fenugreek helps alleviate type II diabetes. According to one study, it may also help people with type I diabetes. Studies by Indian researchers revealed that fenugreek added to the diet of type I diabetes patients helped to drop urinary sugar level by 54%. Because of the presence of the natural fiber galactomannan, fenugreek slows down the rate at which sugar is absorbed into the bloodstream. A certain amino acid (4-hydroxyisoleucine) in fenugreek induces the production of insulin so therefore, 15-20 grams of fenugreek is recommended for controlling blood sugar on a daily basis. By slowly releasing insulin to the body rather than in massive chunks, the overall bodily function is improved, and the plunges and peaks of blood sugar cease to be an issue for diabetics.
Relieves Sore Throat
Fenugreek’s soothing mucilage helps relieve a sore throat, associated pain, and cough.
Relieves Constipation
It adds bulk to the stool due to its high fiber content. This also makes it helpful in treating constipation and diarrhea, while also relieving minor indigestion.
Treats Kidney Problems
Traditional Chinese medicine recommends fenugreek for patients suffering from various kidney conditions.
