TCA’s leading junior development program is back and the registration is now open for all junior cricketers!

The program is led by full-time, ICC Level 3 certified head coach ⁨Prashant Manjrekar⁩, an expert in junior development. Coach Manjrekar⁩ has set out plans for young cricketers of all experience levels, both beginners and experienced are covered.The program is a fantastic opportunity for kids to move between age groups, progress to senior cricket, and ultimately aim for the Canadian national team.

Coach Manjrekar will be assisted by 4 specialist coaches:

David Patterson: an ACB Level 3 certified coach, has a host of experience and is responsible for producing a range of national players including Steve Smith!
, former U-19 Canada and current TCSCC S9 Captain, KC has been an established figure in Canadian Cricket and is set to improve young player’s cricket and fitness
, one of the foremost Canadian batsmen in recent years and one frequently amongst the top run-scorers in the Super 9 league. Raghu is well known for helping players to develop their techniques and take steps to break out of their shells.
Farhan Khan, a well known figure in the Canadian scene. Farhan has dedicated himself to the development of Canadian cricket and has offered his services to Cricket Canada and TDCA for many years. Farhan is passionate about promoting junior cricketers and loves to see them do well in both junior and senior Cricket.

Apart from excellent coaching, the club also provides young cricketers the opportunity to play at an ICC certified ground with 10 turf wickets, as well as outdoor nets, which are crucial for players to prepare for international cricket, especially the under-19 World Cup. Uniquely, our juniors play all their home games on a turf wicket!

TCA and TCSCC have produced a host of national players, many of whom are still around and loves to train!

World Cup-winning captain recently joined TCA for a few practices.

Stafanie is a certified future hall of famer and has played international cricket for over 15 years. She was also women’s player of the year (2011), ODI player of the year (2012) and T20 player of the year (2015) representing West Indies in over 250 international games. Moreover, she is the 2nd women ever to make more than 3000 international T20I runs. She is currently placed 3rd in both odi and t20i in most runs ever! She even led to a world up title where she was also the player of the series!

During her time here, Stafanie shared words of motivation and advice with the youngsters at TCA and wished them the best of luck for the upcoming season. TCSCC and TCA wishes her the best for her future endeavors!

We are introducing TCSCC’s and TCA’s new head coach Prashant Manjrekar.

Prashant is a knowledgeable and hands-on cricket coach, and his experience as a coach and mentor goes beyond the borders. He recently completed his ICC level 3 in Dubai, but he has been a high-performance coach for over 12 years!

Before moving to Canada, Prashant was a cricket coach and observer at Mumbai Cricket Association and worked alongside many Mumbai-based cricket stars and helped them shape their career. He was also a specialist batting coach at Monty Desai’s (current Nepal coach) Sportslife Academy.

After moving to Canada, he coached at Actionzone Cricket Academy, where he often worked with youngsters and helped them develop skills in their formative years.

He is very excited about working with the senior teams in their quest for championships. He is eager to work with the young ones at TCA to develop future Canadian U19 and Canadian Cricket ambassadors.

At Toronto Cricket Academy or TCA we believe in making not just better cricketers but better people. Established by the late Brian Hale, TCA for decades has been one of the leading cricket academies in North America producing plenty and plenty of cricketers who have not only showcased their talent for the Canadian side, at various age groups and world cups, and many private leagues such as IPL, GT20, CPL, MCL etc, but have also been excellent ambassadors of the sport.

Currently, the TCA program has an excellent and excited group of coaches led by an ICC certified head coach and offers training to the youth of toronto to sharpen their physical, mental and cricketing skills. We offer multiple age group teams, and even 4 senior teams,( TOP 4 divisions) for the players to go out their and compete in . The majority of home games take place on turf wickets at an ICC approved ground, perhaps what is a rarity for youth cricket in entire North America. There are various programs run year around, and target various aspects of the game based on the time of the year.

Why is Tcc the most elite club in North America ?

Established in 1827, TCC is perhaps the oldest cricket club in North America. The facility is enriched with 10 turf wickets, maintained on daily basis by an amazing grounds staff team. When Sahara Cup, held between India and Pakistan and featuring the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Wasim Akram, Rahul Dravid, Inzam ul-haq, Sourav Ganguly and Shahid Afridi, amongst many others, took place here, the ground also obtained ODI status and still holds on to it dearly.
The club currently has 4 teams in the top most divisions of ! All 4 teams had stellar performances last season, as all 4 made playoffs, and 3 even managed to win their conferences.
Apart from having a plethora of talented players, the club is head coached by Prashant Manjrekar.

The club is also home to the renowned Toronto Cricket Academy, and intends to carry forward Brian Hale’s legacy. TCA has produced some of the best Canadian Cricketers in the past, and is a place for youngsters to learn the art of cricket and have fun!
The club also features an associates programs for members who might not have grown up with the sport, but wants to explore the beauty of it as well! We are also home to the stragglers!
2 years ago, the intra club was introduced as well, and features members of all sections competing against one another. Intra club has been a great success and many have cherished its moments on and off the field 🍻.

TCC Is a fine blend of youngsters and established veterans. With the section growing every single day, we await the exciting year ahead of us!
