Oof, this one hurt. 💔

I’m so grateful I got to experience the magic of Richard Simmons when I lived in LA and attended his fitness classes at his studio ‘Slimmons’.

Slimmons wasn’t just a workout; it was an experience. Bachelorette parties and people well into their 90’s were there to get their sweat on with Richard. Chairs lined the room so anyone, regardless of mobility or ability, could join in the fun.

He was a beacon of joy, inclusivity, and relentless positivity. He made everyone feel seen and loved because he would stay for however long it took after class to take photos and talk to every.single.person. He pulled me aside one time to personally (and so sincerely) thank me for always bringing new friends to class (because anytime someone visited me in LA, I’d take them to Slimmons!). I was shocked he even remembered me and he replied ‘I could never forget those ‘ocean eyes’ of yours’. 🫠 Ohhhh Richard.

If we could bottle his energy, warmth, and humour the world would be a brighter, kinder place.

A special shoutout to for introducing me to this extraordinary man and his world of magic. Richard, you will be deeply missed, thank you for sharing your light with us and inspiring millions around the world. 💞

We’ve all heard the “just let it go” advice, right?!

Which, sure, we’d love to let this pain go but HOW exactly do you do that? Most of us weren’t handed the manual so we just stuff it down, soldier on, and carry all the hurt with us instead. Thankfully, I’ve cracked the code on HOW to do it and love sharing it with others.

A big thank you to Kim for trusting me and doing the work required to heal their heart. When clients can’t stop raving about their breakthroughs, it’s a pretty good sign we’re doing something right.

So, are you ready to actually learn how to handle your emotions and move forward with confidence?

I’ve got a few slots open in my calendar this summer for new clients. Let’s chat and see if we’re a good fit! Head to my website and click any of the 'Talk To Tammy' buttons to book a discovery session. 🌿

Fontanne is more than a name—it’s a statement, a vision, and a promise. Derived from the French for “fountain; spring,” Fontanne symbolizes the very antithesis of what society has long misconstrued about menopause. In a world that suggests women are ‘dried up and put out to pasture’ at this stage, Fontanne stands as a beacon of renewal and endless possibility. It’s time to quench our thirst for life with the fountain of YOU, finding strength and vitality in our own profound depths.

Our ethos, “discover the fountain of YOU,” playfully nudges aside the outdated quest for the ‘fountain of youth.’ Here, we shift the focus from a desire to recapture youth to celebrating and rediscovering YOU. Whether you’re exploring newfound freedoms, reinventing your career or personal life, adapting to retirement, widowhood, or rediscovering your essence beyond fertility, Fontanne is your companion, offering guidance with warmth and understanding.

Fontanne is here to guide you through every stage of this transition, leveraging the wisdom of expert friends who join our community for enriching conversations, workshops, and explorations. She doesn’t claim to have all the answers, but she knows people who do, and she’s always ready to ask the right questions and listen deeply alongside you.

Doors are opening again to new members later this month so follow us over at and get yourself on the waitlist! We promise it will be worth the wait. 💞

You know those moments when you're bored to tears, or you're daydreaming so hard you might as well be on another planet? It's difficult to focus and concentrate, right?

Or how about when you drag your bitchy workday mood home? It's not just your evening that takes a hit; everyone around you feels that storm cloud too.

And let's not forget the classic line 'I'm fine, thanks,' when inside, you're anything but fine.

We've all been there, ya? 🙋🏼‍♀️

As kids, we get taught the basics about emotions - mainly that they fit neatly into 3 categories: mad, sad, or glad. But we know that's not true, it’s the details that count—like not just saying ‘well, it hurts’ at the doctor’s, but explaining the stabbing pain in your left side. That's how they figure out what's really going on.

That’s where the Feelings Wheel comes in. It’s not just any tool; it's your emotional detective kit, helping you get to the heart of what you're truly feeling, so you can say goodbye to 'I'm fine thanks' and hello to 'I'm actually feeling overwhelmed and could use a hug.' 🫂

Understanding the subtleties of your emotions can change the way you face the world, lead your life, and interact with others.

Ready to get real about your feelings and change your lens on life? Grab the brand spakin' new 'I'm Fine, Thanks. Unpacking The Suitcases Of Our Emotions' guidebook from our shop and start tuning into the real you.

It’s about time your inner world got the attention it deserves. Because when you know your true feelings, every response, every interaction, and every decision gets an upgrade.

This week, something incredible happened. I attended a sold-out panel discussion on menopause at the Shangri-La Hotel and it was nothing short of inspirational. Witnessing the vibrant energy, the shared stories, and the collective yearning for deeper understanding and support reaffirmed my purpose: to help those navigating menopause move from isolation, overwhelm, and confusion to connection, empowerment, and clarity.

During that panel discussion, one of the gems that Dr. Sheila Wijayasinghe shared was that 'knowledge is medicine' - and I couldn't agree more. It's one of the pillars of Fontanne and it makes me so happy/proud to know that Dr. Sheila is on board with us at Fontanne as our esteemed medical advisor! 😁

So, as we count down the final hours until the doors close at 11:59pm EST, I'm more energized than ever. This isn't just about launching a membership; it's about igniting a movement. It's about supporting each other, learning from experts like Dr. Sheila, and shaping a community that sees menopause through a lens of empowerment and joy.

So, here's your last call to be one of Fontanne's founding members. This is your opportunity to join us at the ground level and help shape this transformative community. But hurry because this moment will be a memory when the clock strikes midnight.

Think of it as a cozy, welcoming space where evidence-based wisdom snuggles up with heart-to-heart chats. A place where workshops feel like coffee dates with friends, and every story shared adds to a tapestry that's as vibrant and diverse as we are.

And, because you're reading this, I’m inviting you to become a founding member at a special rate of just $25 per month. It’s not just about the savings; it’s about shaping this community together, from the ground up.

And please send this post along to anyone who you think could benefit from being a part of Fontanne. Here’s to doing things differently, to the stories we’ll share, and to finding joy in every step of the journey.

How is your relationship with trust?

Are you like me and wondering why trust keeps annoyingly showing up on your radar, whispering sweet nothings about letting go and diving into the unknown?

From controlling every detail like a high-stakes event planner to embracing the flow of life like a yoga master, my quest for understanding trust has been a wild ride.

As I've learned, it's not about grand rescues or instant fixes. It's about those quiet moments, the everyday "got your back" vibes, and a little thing called self-trust.

Curious? Dive into the full story on my latest blog and discover why trust isn’t an Amazon Prime package—it’s so much more. Trust me (wink), you won’t want to miss this.

Remember when we discovered the "5 Love Languages" and how they opened up new paths to understanding and appreciating our unique ways of giving and receiving love?
I know learning those love languages helped me to understand my loved ones better, shedding light on the nuances of our connections.

Now, fellow Life Coach Hailey Magee hands us another enlightening key, revealing how we communicate our deepest selves beyond just love - through the "3 Communication Styles."

Hailey’s insights provide a map to navigate the complex emotional languages we speak, from the open-hearted Volunteers to the reserved Invite-Onlies, from the direct Askers to the nuanced Guessers, and from the story-sharing Builders to the attentive Maintainers. Each style holds the potential for misunderstandings but, more importantly, for profound connection and empathy...especially in our grief.

Swipe through this carousel to explore these 3 styles that shape our dialogues and relationships. Which style resonates with you? Are you ready to unlock a new level of understanding in your conversations?

💬 Comment 'style' below for my thoughts into how these communication styles play a crucial role during grief. Together we can transform our communication challenges into bridges of empathy and connection...and who doesn't want/need more of that?!

Social media often feels like a highlight reel, showing our best moments while hiding the struggles that don't make it to the feed. But the truth? Behind each profile is a real, complex person navigating their own battles, visible or not.

This year has been my toughest yet in over 13 years of coaching, making me seriously wonder if I should just pack it all in and get a corporate gig. Add to that the unexpected emotional journey of perimenopause, with its mood swings shaking my sense of self, just as I'm about to hit the milestone of turning 50. It's been a year of feeling everything deeply, redefining resilience, aligning with my values, defining my boundaries, and trying to find my footing again.

I'm sharing this to remind us all that it's okay not to be okay. We all have our invisible battles, and it's our shared humanity that connects us, even online.

Sending you all immense love and solidarity, no matter what you're navigating right now. Remember, it's the challenges that shape us, and there's strength in vulnerability. ❤️ Cheers to brighter days ahead for us all.

Heard the one about grief having a deadline? Or that keeping busy means you won't feel the pain? Yeah, let's file those under 'nonsense we're not buying' too.

Now here's some real truth I want you to know.

It’s not just okay to ask for help - it’s kinda brilliant.

Why?

Because we weren't taught how to grieve. Instead, we were focused on how to get things (the job, the house, the partner...), not what to do when we lose them.

So, imagine having someone in your corner who gets it, who has the proven tools to teach you that you can use over and over again. A space where there are no myth-believing, side-eye-giving judgy pants allowed. Because healing doesn’t have to be a heavy solo mission, and well, laughing through tears is kind of my thing.

If this sounds like something you'd like to learn more about, sign up for a Discovery Call. I've got a couple of spaces open for 1:1 grief coaching and even if we decide to not work together, l'll ensure you leave with at least one tool you can use immediately to support you on your healing journey so you can feel better.

Sometimes, the most productive thing you can do is absolutely nothing.

Yup, you heard me.

And I tell you this now as I was recently reminded of the divine art of SURRENDER and TRUST. Because it turns out, that white-knuckling life doesn't leave much room for any magic to unfold. ✨

I wish I had known this while I was in full-on problem-solving mode these past few weeks. Because the moment I embraced surrender? Magic happened. Tears turned into clarity, desperation into peace. I found myself moving from a frantic pace to a moment of grace, proving that doing less can indeed bring you more.

Remember, when everything seems to be pushing you to do more, faster, harder, sometimes the fastest way forward is to stop, breathe, and let the universe take the lead. To 'Let Go and Let GUS'. 😉 (God/Universe/Spirit)

Let's invite a little magic into our lives by making space for it. Who's with me in making today a day of gentle strength and surrender?

Ever thought of grief as a sneaky, uninvited guest that ends up teaching us the most profound lessons?

Valentine's Day isn't just about romance; it's a reminder of the incredible love and light you bring into this world. Yes, I'm talking to YOU! 💗

As we celebrate love today, let's also acknowledge its complex companion - grief.
These two powerful emotions weave through our lives, sometimes in a delicate dance of balance, other times in a tug-of-war for our hearts.

How is your heart today?

𝕃𝕠𝕧𝕖 & 𝔾𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕗: 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝔻𝕒𝕟𝕔𝕖 𝕠𝕗 𝔻𝕖𝕡𝕥𝕙 - Today, as we celebrate love, let's also embrace grief, its complex partner. Together, they teach us the power of our hearts to love deeply, even through pain. Your vulnerability? It's your strength, shining bright in every shadow.

ℍ𝕖𝕒𝕣𝕥 ℂ𝕙𝕒𝕜𝕣𝕒: 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝔼𝕞𝕠𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟𝕒𝕝 ℙ𝕠𝕨𝕖𝕣𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕤𝕖 - At our core lies the Heart Chakra, where love and grief meet and transform us. It's here we learn the true essence of healing: loving ourselves fiercely, through every high and low.

𝔼𝕞𝕓𝕣𝕒𝕔𝕖 𝔾𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕗 𝕨𝕚𝕥𝕙 𝕃𝕠𝕧𝕖 - Grief might linger, but it also invites us to grow, to open our hearts wider to all forms of love. Let this message be your nudge to let love and grief coexist, enriching your heart with resilience and depth.

Today, let's:

» Breathe deeply, embracing peace and love.
Feel fully, accepting every emotion as a step towards healing.

» Celebrate love in its many forms. Pen a note to a friend, yourself, or someone you're missing.

» Our hearts are powerful—filled with love, capable of profound healing. Let's nourish them with kindness, laughter, and yes, a bit of chocolate (why not, right?).

Remember, you're someone's reason to smile today. The love you share, even in small moments, is a powerful beacon of hope and joy. Here's to a day of embracing every feeling, surrounded by the love we share and receive.

It's awards season, and you might be up for an Oscar for your role in 'Pretending I'm Fine: The Untold Story.'

(was my performance here Oscar-worthy?? 🥸)

But seriously, what if we skipped the awards and got real? In my latest article, we ditch the script and delve into the world behind 'I'm fine.' 🎬 From global grief traditions to embracing the rollercoaster of real emotions, it's a story worth reading (and living).

Forget the plastic grins (sorry Barbie) and let's get authentic. Ready to turn your 'fine' into something award-winningly genuine? Hit that link, and let's make this awards season about celebrating real feelings.

"It's not too late."

We often hear that "time heals all wounds", but the truth is, healing requires more than just time. It requires action and courage. This myth can leave us feeling like it's too late to start but I'm here to tell you that's not the case!

Here's why you CAN still heal your heart:

👉 With my extensive experience as a grief coach, I've walked this path many times before and can compassionately guide you through your unique healing journey. You're not alone in this.

👉 You can 'dip your toe' into the healing process with my Coping With Grief workbook. It's a gentle start for those not quite ready to commit to coaching but eager to begin their journey.

👉 Honouring your grief and working towards recovery is a brave and rewarding journey. It's about transforming pain into hope and growth.

If there's one thing I've learned over the years it's that it's more exhausting trying to outrun your emotional pain than it is to face it.

I'm here to tell you that you absolutely can find peace and happiness again if you're willing to embark on this journey of healing your heart.

Feeling a bit discouraged or stuck lately? Caught in the daily 'do-this, do-that' whirlwind?

Me too.

Sometimes I forget to cheer for the wins – especially the tiny ones that don’t get a trophy.

So, I scribbled something for today's newsletter - a 'nudge-nudge' for all of us to take a hot sec and cheer for... well, ourselves. 📣👏

It's about those 'oh wow, I did that' moments that we usually brush off like lint on a black t-shirt.

No spoilers, but it involves a couch, a binge-worthy show, and an epiphany that was more enlightening than realizing you can say 'no' to that extra Zoom meeting.

Curious for more? Sign up for the full story. It's like peeking into a diary – only it’s mine, and I’m cool with it.
