This is the carpet that graced the floor in my parents’ formal living room since the mid-70s until a couple of months ago when we sold their home. I’ve always absolutely adored it and now it is in my living room, looking as good as new! My stepmother designed it, had it hand made overseas and delivered almost a year later. The wealth of colours, the repeating pattern and the border are stunning and work well with today’s furnishings. I am thrilled to be the caretaker of this treasure.

The first image is when we staged the home for sale, second image is how it looked with their original furnishings, and third and fourth are detail shots.

Hello July! Sherwin Williams’ colour of the month is Kale Green- SW 6460. This rich green would be appropriate in a powder room, formal dining room, den, or bedroom. I think it would also look great on a front door! I'll be honest, it's not my favourite green, but I can appreciate it.

Happy Pride! To celebrate, I thought I would share with you the Queen of Drag, RuPaul’s stunning Beverly Hills Mansion. Mama Ru’s home is anything but subdued, the disco balls on the ceiling are so amazing! Of course there are two closets, one for his signature colourful suits and another for all of the fabulous drag. Designed by Martin Lawrence Bullard, this home mixes colour, pattern and texture in an elegant and sophisticated way.
