Returning to Nepal! 🇳🇵🙌 Team 23 was our first team to visit Nepal since an almost 3-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Team 24 finish off an eventful week at Green Pastures Hospital in Pokhara having had many opportunities to connect with the hospital staff, patients, and learn about day to day practice in this corner of the world! Way to go Team 24!!

This session will be led by Social Workers, Cathie Percival, and Jennifer Squibb.

Today is International Self-Care Day! It is a day recognized each year on July 24th as a symbol that the benefits of self-care are experienced 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Self-care is the practice of taking an active role in protecting one’s own well-being and happiness, particularly during stressful periods.

We will be hosting a NepalAbility Education Webinar on Acute Traumatic Brain Injury on June 28th at 9:45pm (EST)/ 6:45pm (PST) / June 29th at 7:30am Nepal Time (NPT).

Today is World Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Day, a day to bring the global MS community together to share stories, raise awareness, and campaign with everyone affected by multiple sclerosis. This year's theme is "I Connect, We Connect".

MS is a chronic disease affecting the central nervous system. MS occurs when the immune system attacks nerve fibers and myelin sheathing in the brain and spinal cord. There are now 2.8 million people worldwide who have multiple sclerosis (MS), according to the most extensive global study to date.

A multidisciplinary, patient-centered approach with different contributing professionals is essential to maximize health and functional outcomes. With increased collaboration, providers also develop a stronger understanding of their colleagues' roles and responsibilities.

Our most recent team, Team 22 worked alongside our Nepali partners at United Mission Hospital, Tansen, Nepal. The varied skills, backgrounds, and training of our diverse group of team members allowed for a wide range of didactic sessions, hands-on teaching, and case rounds.
