If you haven’t already heard, we are trying to bring more awareness to an issue regarding dangerous TTC wires near some buildings in west queen west. Here are the details: A group of West Queen West (WQW) businesses and building owners decided to work together to refurbish and maintain the safety of their Queen St. W. building facades. Working with the City of Toronto, they applied, and were successful in receiving the City of Toronto’s Facade Improvement Program funding. After receiving approval from the City of Toronto and Toronto Hydro, the contractor was ready to begin construction, and the TTC halted the operations and demanded the company pay more than $20,000 to cover their TTC wires. Adding $20,000+ to the project is a cost that’s ultimately being paid by the local small businesses, at a time when they’re already struggling tremendously. Help us spread the word and help small business and our neighbourhood come back from Covid 19 ❤️ Full video at the link in our bio 🔗 Featuring WQW BIA Director, @bohdanrob Filmed by @edwardgajdel #ttcsupport @takethettc #torontotransit #ttccommunity #ttccommunitysupport #westqueenwest #torontowest #torontostreetcars #torontopsa #torontonews #torontorestoration #torontohistoricbuildings #oldtoronto #oldtorontobuildings
