Black Youth Jobs

👟👟 In celebration of today’s , we’ve partnered with Canadian artist Daniel Mazzone to hold an auction to support children, youth and families affected by child welfare. Daniel has applied his beautiful, unique art style by custom painting 100 pairs of Nike Air Force 1s - 90 pairs will be donated to youth transitioning out of government care, and the remaining 10 pairs are being auctioned off!
As someone who experienced homelessness for five years in their youth, Daniel is passionate about helping those in need. At the age of 18 (or 19 in some provinces), youth transitioning out of government care are on their own, and they are no longer eligible for the type of support they received while living in foster care or group homes. These young people must establish their lives after care without the support of a family, without stable employment, without an education, or often without a support network of any kind. In fact, this group of young people are 200 times more likely to experience homelessness than their peers.
In honour of and in support of those affected by child welfare, please check out the shoes and make your bid now here! bit.ly/3mQeV41 The online auction will close at noon ET on March 31, 2023.
