My inspiration for learning to sew was to create my own semi-formal dresses for school dances! Evenings were spent cutting and sewing while on Fashion Television fueled my passion. I felt that learning to sew would free me from the limited shopping options at the local big box retailers in my small Ontario town, and it did (this was long before online shopping). ⁠

Turns out, I wasn't the only girl who wanted to wear something unique, which is how I got started making custom dream dresses over a decade ago🪡
