🚴‍♀️ Join us on Sunday, July 28th, for a special SUMMER FUN RIDE for this month’s Sunday Street Roll! We’ll meet at Truro Civic Square (740 Prince Street) for 9:15am and helmets are required. This month, we’re heading out to Valley, Nova Scotia, with a stop at Black Rock swimming hole for a relaxing rest. Consider bringing a towel and have water for your ride. We will continue back into Truro for a final stop at Noveltea Coffeehouse & Bakery to finish off the morning. ☕️

This ride will expose cyclists to:

+Cycling safely in an urban environment in all seasons

+An inclusive and positive social atmosphere

+The benefit of exploring Truro and surrounding areas on two wheels (e-bikes welcome!)

Join us on Sunday, June 23rd, for a special PRIDE RIDE for this month’s Sunday Street Roll! We’ll meet at Truro Civic Square (740 Prince Street) for 9:15am and helmets are required (and Pride colours are recommended). This month, we’re heading out to Bible Hill and North River with a stop at Café 311. Usually we ride on the last Sunday of the month, but in order to celebrate Pride week, we’re heading out a week earlier than usual.

🔧Did you hear? Our Active Transportation Committee is running a bicycle maintenance workshop on Saturday, June 8th from 2 to 5pm! We’ll be joined by experienced instructors and volunteers to empower you to do basic bike tune-ups so you can ride your way through summer. Topics we’ll cover include tire and tube changes, brake and gear adjustments, chain maintenance, and more. This event is brought to you for FREE thanks to funding from the Truro and Area Community Health Board Wellness Fund. 🪛

To participate, all you have to do is fill out the registration form (link in our About info) ... or call Mary at (902) 324-8025) and show up on the 8th!

Join us at the Mental Health Awareness Family Fun Day — at Civic Square THIS SUNDAY (May 26) from 12-3 pm.

We will be there with our friends from Living Earth Council, offering complimentary bike tune ups.

We will also have a BRAND NEW bike and helmet up for grabs as a prize for someone in attendance — courtesy of the generous ongoing sponsorship from G&G Computers.

🚵‍♀️Join us on Sunday, March 24th, for our first Sunday Street Roll of the spring! We meet at Truro Civic Square (740 Prince Street) for 9:15am and helmets are required (and warm layers are recommended).🚵‍♂️

The ride will be around 8.5km, and will take us on a loop through Truro, Bible Hill, and North River, with a stop at Café 311. We’ll pass by the Dalhousie Agricultural Campus and Cobequid Educational Centre, which the Town’s Active Transportation Plan has identified as important active transportation destinations.

This ride will give cyclists a chance to:

• Cycle safely in an urban environment in all seasons

• Be part of an inclusive and positive social atmosphere

• Enjoy the benefit of exploring Truro on two wheels (e-bikes welcome!)

🌧There is no rain date, however, if the weather is decent but not so bike-friendly, we’ll go for a Sunday Street Stroll and explore downtown Truro on foot.

🐰The Sunday Street Roll is usually the last Sunday of the month, but we brought it forward this month due to the Easter holiday.

Did you hear? Our Active Transportation Committee is running a bicycle maintenance workshop on Saturday, March 23rd from 2 to 5pm! We’ll be joined by the pros from Bike Monkey and Hub Cycle to empower you to do basic bike tune-ups, just in time for spring.

Topics we’ll cover include tire and tube changes, brake and gear adjustments, chain maintenance, and more. This event is brought to you for FREE thanks to funding from the Truro and Area Community Health Board Wellness Fund.
