What did I learn in 2023? That social media is not my forte π€ͺ
In 2024, will my social media presence be greater for my readers? Well, here's hoping!
HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYBODY!

Where have I been? Well I've been sucking at this social media, that's okay... but I do desperately want to stay in touch with my readers and supporters! I'm starting to book in for school visits and Halloween events for 2023/2024 school year! Pm me, or visit my website to send an email to set up some fun activities with me, Author of Patch Work. Happy to collaborate with teachers to come up with some activities that will be fun and engaging for their group of kids! We are all different, so every visit should be custom tailored. Division 1 and 2 kids can find joy and fun in Patch Work! OR we can work together to write my next fun story!! Or we can do crosswords, coloring sheets, and word searches. The opportunities are endless!π
Pictures are a peak into my summer activity so far!

Mother's Day was May 14 this year, which is also the special day of my little man SO we celebrated Mother's Day this past weekend instead.
Gabriel painted an adorable little flower pot and provided Sweet Pea seeds because "I know you like to plant flowers, so I left them as seeds for you!" πΈπΌ
Oliana hand crafted a gorgeous teapot which will house some fresh lilac blossoms this week! π«πͺ»
I have some pretty fabulous kids π©·

Edmonton has had a CRAZY amount of smoke lately from the wildfires burning here. A MASSIVE THANK YOU to all the firefighters coming from the USA and across Canada to help put out these flames.
Today, the AQI was finally back to a safe level (after peaking above 600 Saturday morning). So I got out to garden!
Here are some photos of the sunsets we've been experiencing due to smoke, the crazy thick smoke downtown (photo credit goes to someone else PM me for credit), and my front yard FINALLY coming together again π©·

Long time no post over here! It was my birthday the other day and I got to celebrate with a massage, followed by a steak dinner with my family π©· β£οΈ βοΈπ
I'm definitely a physical copy book reader. Do you immerse yourself in the smell of a new book, bask in the glow of an e-reader novel, or close your eyes and soak in the words via audio book (or as I still call it: book on tape π€ͺ).

It's GROUNDHOG DAY! According to the "Prairie Prognosticator" here in Alberta we have an early spring on our way!
This was hard to believe with a -30Β°C windchill this morning, but by bedtime tomorrow it'll be 0Β°C π
I'm home in bed for a few days, maybe I'll get some writing done! Any story suggestions?
π± I'm itching to get this set up again!

In Alberta we are used to big blue skies with lots of sun! This last little bit is not the sunny Alberta I know.
We had sunshine yesterday, but I feel like I didn't appreciate it enough for it to be overcast today.
I feel like a pumpkin in the patch with King Boris.
Give me back my sunshine!

Have a 2023 birthday gift to acquire? Patch Work is available in both hard and soft cover online at B&N, Indigo, Audrey's, Amazon, and many other book retailers!
Patch Work is about Farmer Pete's famous pumpkin patch. This year the patch is in trouble thanks to their evil leader, King Boris. Will the pumpkins convince the selfish King Boris to relinquish what they need to become big, healthy pumpkins? Or will King Boris be the only Jack-o-lantern this Halloween?
