First up Cornwall deliveries to Rico’s Refuge Cat Rescue and Keep Faith Cat Rescue then to Manotick to stock up the foodbank then Orleans to drop off for Seniors, Kittens and Shy Cats Rescue and Refuges Chez Lyly.

Deliveries are happening, albeit smaller amounts being given out due to low stock we still get smiling faces and grateful people.

Trip to our supplier in Montreal is taking a little longer than anticipated.......bumper to bumper and not even moving! 😔
Gotta love Montreal traffic!

We've been quiet on the social media side of things mainly because we've been busy finding more resources for food.
We've had to slow down deliveries due to the fact that even suppliers have low stock or are putting in new mandates to only distribute to rescues directly and not distributors like us due to resale issues.
Yes donated food is being sold on all platforms possible and this in turn hurts all of us. If you see pet food being sold either on marketplace or flea markets for example , question the vendor as to where the food is coming from and make it known that what they are doing is hurting so many!
Being desperate for food for your pet is one thing being greedy for cash is selfish and wrong!

We've had a busy catch up week with so many rescues, sanctuaries and food banks receiving goodies I just can't fit them all on here but I will give the highlights of today's rally delivery down the 401.

And that's a wrap on another shipment picked up and offloaded in record time and record heat.
Six red faced, sweaty and beautiful ladies answered the call for help.
I'm always amazed and grateful for our K4P volunteers ❤️❤️❤️❤️

It was either my favored 20' truck without AC or this 26' clunker with AC. No brainer since it's going to be a gazillion degrees again tomorrow 🤦‍♀️ 🥵
Good thing I'm comfortable driving anything but still gonna be a long trip to our Montreal supplier in the morning!🤷‍♀️

We had our first delivery for the masqued bandits 🦝 of Rideau Valley Wildlife Sanctuary this morning. Always a pleasure knowing they are being well fed with quality food. 😁

Late post but that's how it is sometimes.

I did a very special delivery as well, 3 young cyclist were caught in a huge downpour so of course I had to offer them a lift. We stowed 2 bikes, saddle bags and little trailer in the truck for Xavier 14 and Yan 17. The third young man 18 (didn't catch his name) decided he would finish this leg on his bike. So off to drop off the boys at their next destination, the Comfort Inn in Cornwall. Two hours later Xavier texted me that the third young man had made it safely to the motel.
Pet Food distribution is always an adventure 🤣

3 twenty foot containers that's how many.😜 Suzanne St Pierre and I are on our fourth full day of sorting and pricing, it's gonna be even more amazing than last year.😅

We are welcoming the House of Lazarus Community Outreach Mission Mountain foodbank to the program, they now have cat and dog food available for their clients. We also delivered to Pearl Acres Sanctuary where two little angels that were napping at the time collected beautiful flowers for me.
Our last stop was at a Riverview Rescues foster in our area where a very lucky pooch is starting a new life and will be fed like a king.
