Rest In Eternal Peace 🙏🏻
This week the world lost a bright light, Danna Omari, who touched so many lives and inspired so many of us in holistic esthetics.
Even though I didn’t personally know Danna well or have the pleasure of meeting her in person, her work and her philosophies inspired my career and belief systems around treating the skin very deeply.
Danna was always kind whenever i reached out to her and I thought about her often in the past couple of years during her health struggles.
Her passion for healing the skin through human touch and her transcendent movements came through her posts and so many of us became enthralled by her beauty and wisdom.
Without Danna (or ) there would be no FIX Method because she really brought facial massage to the mainstream and because of her, Buccal massage and all facial massage became so in demand.
Her love of her family and the beautiful moments with them that she shared with all of us brightened up all our days and I will miss seeing them on my feed.
Today I am sending love and light to her beautiful children and loving husband and pray that god will help them through this challenging time.
I wanted to post this because, like so many of us, I am heartbroken over her passing and I really wanted to honor her memory and acknowledge what an inspiration she was to me and our entire community.
Forever in our hearts, RIP Danna. ❤️🙏🏻

A little mid-week relaxation 💆🏼♀️Never underestimate the power of TOUCH. What actually causes your client to “feel good”?
During skin-to-skin contact, oxytocin is released. Oxytocin has been linked to feelings of trust, loyalty, and bonding. Physical contact with another human has been shown to increase oxytocin, which is associated with happiness, greater relaxation, and psychological stability.
✨Oxytocin seems to decrease a person’s response to negative stress and anxiety.
✨ An increase in your client’s oxytocin levels will increase the likeliness of the client beginning to mentally relax, which paves the way for reducing stress and tension in muscle tissue.

Let’s talk Buccal Massage for TMJ 🙌🏼
Buccal facial massage promotes a deep release of tight facial muscles and relaxation of surface tension, resulting in improved or prevented TMJ (temporomandibular joint) conditions.
Muscles involved in the TMJ disorder include muscles of the mastication such as the Masseter, Temporalis, and Medial and Lateral Pterygoids. While the Masseter and Temporalis muscles can be accessed from outside the mouth, Medial and Lateral Pterygoids can only be effectively reached inside the mouth.
Buccal massage helps to release tension in these hard-to-reach muscles but also of all the muscles within the mouth and surrounding area.
Typically, 8-10 weekly treatments are recommended, followed by monthly maintenance treatments.
Although you will see amazing results after your first session, the difference will be much more noticeable after the fourth consecutive treatment as—just like working out—the results are cumulative.
One of the most OVERLOOKED steps in any facial is the towel wrap!
