Wonderful adventure today for Pilot Pat and her passengers today to Parkinsons Rec centre to watch the tennis and the pickleball-even got to see a baby deer having her breakfast along the creek.

Spring is just around the corner! Street cleaning starts this week, and we will be ready to go before you know it with 2 new trishaws, bringing our total to 6 in Cycling Without Age Kelowna!
LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEER BOARD MEMBERS! The Kelowna Cycling Coalition is the umbrella organization that we fall under.
They are a group that is trying to encourage more people to take up cycling by helping educate the cycling and driving public. They also work with the City of Kelowna to help them plan and create better infrastructure that will provide safer interactions out there.
If you have the following talents, we want to hear from you!
Web & Branding:
Role Description: The Web & Branding volunteer will manage the organization's online presence, ensuring the website is up-to-date, user-friendly, and reflective of the coalition's mission.
Group Ride / Critical Mass Coordinator:
Role Description: The Group Ride / Critical Mass Coordinator will organize and oversee group rides. They will work to create a safe and inclusive environment for cyclists, coordinating routes, schedules, and safety measures, particularly during critical mass events.
Treasurer:
Role Description: The Treasurer will manage the financial aspects of the coalition, overseeing grant applications, financial records, and transactions.
Communications:
Role Description: The Communications volunteer will handle the coalition's external and internal communications. They will manage social media and email updates to promote the coalition's activities, events, and initiatives while fostering community engagement and support.
These rides could go on for quite a while as the residents of the Vineyards are very keen. Thanks to pilots Audrey and Pat for keeping up their enthusiasm. Love the canopy - your passengers look so cozy!
Sadly our last ride of the season was today for the residents at Mission Creek Landing. Thanks to volunteer pilots like Mark who have brightened the days of so many passengers this summer and fall. We look forward to starting up again in spring of 2024
Blanket weather has arrived for Cycling Without Age Kelowna but it did not dampen the enthusiasm of Audrey and Marilynne's passengers today. We even got to see a couple of turtles sunning themselves on a log in Brandt's Creek
BIG thank you to Gary Norkum owner of CYCLEPATH KELOWNA on Springfield Road and his technician Keegan for assembling our new trishaw and providing the regular service to our other 3 bikes. We could not do it without you! You have touched the lives of many seniors in the community with this very kind act of service.
