Responsibilities
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating multiple operations between the needs of our customers and the efficient support of our team of carriers. Reporting to the Project Manager, this position will focus on operational excellence and superior customer service. The Operations Coordinator must ensure that everything works effectively as a team to support our high standards for carrier success and customer service
More specifically,
· If necessary, request rates from carriers
· Multiple analyzes for internal needs
· Order entry (includes sending shipments and communicating with customs brokers)
· Confirmation of vehicles with brokers, auctions, and dealerships
· Follow up with transportation companies and customers as needed
· Follow up on ongoing pan-Canadian and local deliveries
· Updating internal tracking files
Qualifications
· The successful candidate must possess the following skills and abilities:
· Experience with Integrated Management Software programs, Google Suite, Excel
· Previous experience in dispatch and operations support
· A positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
· Previous experience and passion for customer service
· Quick learning
· High tolerance for ambiguity
· Ability to multitask
· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to work under minimal supervision
· Strong organizational, priority management and problem-solving skills
· Strong written and oral communication skills in French and English
· Previous experience in the transport industry or in logistics is considered a great asset
