Fund Raiser 📣 Happening behind Knotty By Knotty By Nature Fibre Arts in Fernwood, Victoria, B.C. 🧶
Drop by behind Knotty by Nature tomorrow for an art and clothing sale, fundraising to support W̱SÁNEĆ harvesters in getting a new boat!
Some more information about the fundraising goal:
Blaine Wilson is a W̱SÁNEĆ harvester who is proud to gather food throughout the year for his family, friends, and community. This is a fundraiser to support Blaine and his family to purchase a new boat that can be used to continue food-fishing and hunting for many years to come. Blaine and his sister Tracy Underwood wish for all the young people in their community to know the land more intimately, build confidence in themselves and each other, and become skilled food-gatherers. This fundraiser is organized by community members and students – if you have any questions, reach out to Julia Weder ([email protected])

Helllo friends! It's less than a month until the big day, and it's time to get cracking with planning and details!
Firstly, if you're a vendor, we'd love to feature your business here on the socials. You'll have received an email with links to both a Google form (for your business details) and a Google drive (for your photos). While the deadline for getting that info in is August 10, we'd really appreciate it if you could do so sooner, as we'd like to start featuring businesses pronto! If you didn't get that info, please reach out to Ryan or Catherine of and we can get that info to you.
For attendees, we can't wait to see you there! Just a reminder that parking is tricky in the Fernwood area - we'll be providing a map of places to park, but if you're able, please consider choosing public transit or cycling.
Fibrations takes place on August 20, 2023 at the Fernwood Community Centre (1240 Gladstone Avenue, Victoria, BC), and it's free to attend!
Thanks so much, and we can't wait to see you all!
