Most of you know our friend Ed Arinobu. He was recently honoured for the volunteer work he does at the LSCO downtown and we want to congratulate him. Below is part of the tribute that was written about him. Ed often helps us with our intercultural activities at the church. Thanks Ed.๐

The final harvest from the backyard vegetable patch
weather was sunny today, so I decided to pull out the Jerusalem artichokes that were covered in ice and snow and had grown to two meters high but had not yet bloomed! As a result... so many white and fat ginger babies suddenly appeared. What a surprise... watching these little gingers working hard to make their lives bear fruit, not even the partition walls of the wooden box can stop them from extending outward. The result of their hard work. To please the master! Seeing such a scene, I was also inspired... "I must work so hard to bear fruit in my life."
You missed a good games night last Friday if you werenโt there!
In case you missed it, we had fun at the Fall Festival Do you have any photos you would like to share in the comments?
It will be delicious! Come for a Chilli Dinner at 4717 24 Avenue South. We will have both meat and vegetarian chilli available. We will have dinner, games, a talk from Rui and lots of good company!๐
Happy thanksgiving to everyone

September 26th is a day I will remember for the rest of my life: I am a Canadian now! What a great, wonderful thing happened in my life!
I want to thank Maggie and George for providing me with their sweet home so that friends could watch my online citizenship oath ceremony. I am also very grateful to my friends who took the time to attend the celebration, and to all of my friends who sent me congratulatory messages! And I want to thank those who have helped me to settle down on this great land, who have shown me their kindness, and I want to thank our church family for the endless support!
What a wonderful day!
Glory to God!
