The 24/25 Canada Carbon Rebate for Ontario will be $1,120 ($280 quarterly)

Today, the government announced the Canada Carbon Rebate amounts for 2024-2025.

The Canada Carbon Rebate (previously known as the Climate Action Incentive Payment) is how the federal government returns all the proceeds of carbon pollution pricing directly back to Canadians, in their province of origin.

A reminder that Oct 14 you’ll receive your next Climate Action Incentive payment.
This is given per household and you must have filed your 2021 taxes to receive it

📆 It’s October, which means you’ll receive another payment for the Climate action incentive payment (CAIP) if you’re eligible.

You should receive it on October 14th, 2022!

🔔 Important: The CAIP is a quarterly payment. The first payment in July 2022 included the first two payments in the year combined, meaning April and July 2022. The subsequent payments for October 2022 and January 2023 will be lower as they do not include a retroactive payment such as July.

To be eligible you must have filed your 2021 taxes.
