Summer is coming! That means it's time for summer salads!
Here's a quick and easy recipe that's perfect for hot days.
Ingredients:
5 ounces spring greens
1 large avocado
3 Tbsp sunflower seeds
3 Tbsp pumpkin seeds
1 large carrot, grated
2/3 cup cherry tomatoes
1 cup red cabbage, thinly sliced
1 1/4 cups cooked brown rice
1 Caesar Salad Dressing, or choice of salad dressing
Instructions:
Add all ingredients to a huge serving bowl and drizzle in desired amount of Caesar dressing (or dressing of choice). Toss well until everything is coated in dressing to taste. Enjoy!

Peach Strawberry Popsicles
Ingredients:
3 cups strawberries, pureed to 1 ½ cup
3 cups peaches, peeled and sliced, pureed to 1 ½ cup
2 tbsp honey, divided
⅔ cup vanilla greek yogurt
Instructions:
In a blender, puree strawberries with four tsp honey then set aside. Puree sliced peaches with two tsp of honey, set aside. Layer the popsicles: 2 teaspoons strawberry puree, 1 tsp yogurt, 2 tsp peach puree and repeat. Make a fruit puree your last layer.
Minty Watermelon Popsicles
Ingredients:
3 cups watermelon slices, divided
1 tbsp fresh mint leaves
1 ½ cups coconut water
2 tbsp lime juice
1 tbsp honey
Instructions:
In a blender, puree 2 ½ cups diced watermelon pieces, mint leaves, coconut water, lime juice, and honey. Cut the remaining ½ cup watermelon slices into ¼-inch cubes. Evenly divide the diced watermelon into the molds, tapping them down to the bottom. Stir the popsicle mixture then evenly divide it among the popsicle molds.
Blackberry Lemon Popsicles
Ingredients:
⅔ cup lemon juice, plus zest from lemons
2 ½ cups vanilla greek yogurt
2 ½ cups blackberries
2 ½ cup mixed berry Greek yogurt
Instructions:
Whisk together lemon juice, zest, and vanilla yogurt, set aside. Puree blackberries and mixed berry yogurt, set aside. Layer the popsicles: 1 tbsp lemon, 1 tbsp blackberry, repeat. Swirl layers if desired.
Orange Mango Coconut Popsicles
Ingredients:
4 cups mango, divided
2 cup coconut milk, whisked and divided
3 tbsp orange juice
3 tbsp honey
Instructions:
Puree 3 cups mango slices, 1 ½ cup coconut milk, orange juice, and honey. Cut the remaining 1 cup mango slices into ¼-inch cubes. Evenly divide them among the popsicle molds. Add 3 tbsp of mango coconut mixture. Add 1 tbsp of coconut milk, or until the mold is filled.
Insert your popsicle sticks and freeze for 6 hours or overnight. Enjoy!

Our Story
Lets face it, when you only need one or two things from the grocery store, getting there can be a huge headache. First you must contend with traffic and find parking, then there is the hassle of having to walk through isles of foods that you don’t need but that are calling your name for an impulse buy just to get to the staples that you need. By the time you walk out with your eggs and milk you usually have plenty of other things in your cart as well. With that in mind, the co-founders of HastyCart, have made getting your essentials easier and quicker, putting them at the tip of your fingers, or more precisely, one click away.
Now, add to that the current increased difficulty finding spots for regular grocery click and collect or delivery, it becomes even more apparent that there is a gross need for a delivery service that does not rely on being able to use a supermarket in order to fulfill orders. Through our personal experience and through listening to friends and family, it also became apparent that even if you were lucky enough to get a spot, there was a good chance of needing to go to the supermarket before the next scheduled ‘shop’ as running out of essentials such as milk, bread, eggs etc. can happen to even the most careful of planners.
But here at HastyCart providing a service isn’t enough. We have a passion for giving back to our community and we want to make sure that our contributions make the greatest impact possible for those most in need. After discussing the many options of giving back, the obvious and seemingly most needed option became very apparent in the form of partnering with local food banks and food rescue groups to make sure that we can give back to the community who supports us by donating fresh essentials to those most in need and vulnerable in the community. It’s an exciting way of giving back and we can’t wait to share with you our journey through our social media pages.
